I am a realistic person. Jones has set back the program.

I was banned recently(about a month ago) being critical of BS and his free throw ability so I'll try to be sweet.

Bottom line is Aleva is way over his head here and Jones isn't the answer. We can debate all day as to reasons why these are true but its a waste of time.

Living in Texas and having true LSU pride has been hard lately. Our AD and other leaders have failed tremendously in recent months and have made the LSU brand embarrassing.

This is the rant so I hope I'm able to voice concerns without being banned again.

They banned you for that? I'm sure there's more to the story than you're letting on. Only board I've seen that swings the ban hammer like Thor himself is the OT lounge. That place is ridiculous with what they do (and do not) ban people for.

I feel like this year they took a step back. Still not as far back as when Johnny took over. Coming into this year the teams improved over the previous year. No post season to NIT to NCAA tournament. The thought coming into this year was to make the next step with all the national exposure Ben would bring. He failed miserably this year and I do think he has hit his ceiling at LSU.

I am and will always be proud to support my Tigers no matter the situation. I didn't like the way the football season ended on and off the field, but if you can't be proud of the way Les and the staff bounced back then I'm sorry for you. The end of basketball season sucked but as fans and as a program they need to just bounce back and move forward. What's done is done the only thing you can do is learn from it.

I don't think he's necessarily "set back" the program (yet). I think he has definitely moved it forward from the Johnson era, for which he should get credit. However, I think he has reached his ceiling at LSU and it's time to make a change before the program does take a significant step back.

Yea man. I was down on Big Ben about 3-4 weeks ago because I felt the "Best Player" in the country should make free throws. And I was out buddy.

I think he set us back from a national media standpoint. He will always be known now as the coach who couldn't do anything with Ben Simmons.

I have been banned for stating my opinion on the current state of affairs as well. I guess speaking your opinion on a message board is frowned upon.

Maybe you guys should stop trashing 18-22 year old young men because they aren't as good as you think they should be. It is very possible to point out someones faults without completely trashing them.

You must not have seen the Trent Johnson era? Or all but 3 years of the Brady era.

Do not get me wrong, Jones did a terrible job coaching this team but he definitely hasn't set us back in regards to where we were before.

Lets not get carried away here about setting the program back. I will give JJ the benefit of the doubt and will see what he does next year although it might end up being a huge undertaken.

U need to stop being "that guy" a-hole. We as fans due to boards like this deserve a right to vent frustration. If u can't handle it I'll gladly whip ur arse instead.

He has NOT set the program back. Did he greatly underachieve this year? Absolutely frickin lutely. There's more talent on the roster from when he took over. Is he a below average coach? Sure. But a good coach would turn things around in 1-2 years. It's basketball and doesn't take but 2-3 good players to have a solid base and team.

I don't think he's set us back but it doesn't look like we will being going forward much more with him.

To me it doesn't matter if you are a Miles / Jones supporter or not. The way things have been handled over the past few months by our "Leaders" has been absolutely atrocious.
