I’ve seen posts on here with people saying “Good he’s preparing for life after the NFL!” With his 10M signing bonus and making 5.4M a year, he’s not making generational wealth, but he and his immediate family will be set for life. He could retire at 32 or so and spend the rest of his life tending to his investments. I admire him for having a passion for helping others through a nursing career—something he WANTS to do. He sure as hell doesn’t HAVE to.

It'll also be great for patients. Imagine you get a national champion as your nurse.

Oh he’ll have a job somewhere. Pacheco has made him redundant with the Chiefs, but there are plenty teams that can use what Clyde brings to the table as a change-of-pace back.

Credit Clyde’s upbringing and how he was raised. His mother served in the Army and became a nurse. His biological father died when he was very young and his step-dad helped raise him. His youngest sister nearly died at birth and has muscular dystrophy. What he experienced growing up made him who he is today.

His biological dad went to prison, I believe for drugs. His step dad brought stability to his life. He hyphenated his last name to honor his step dad’s contribution to his life. His biological dad was in the stands when we beat Bama. ESPN did a little special on it.

I love ceh. Let's get that out the way.

I'm sure he will be able to fight for a job as a 3rd back, but his days of being a top 2 back on a top team are probably over.

Not according to this article … CEH article in the Advocate 8-2019

“Tongelia Helaire, 43, has a lot of experience dealing with loss.

Twenty-three years ago, her husband was killed in a car accident Tongelia Helaire, 43, has a lot of experience dealing with loss.

Twenty-three years ago, her husband was killed in a car accident while she was serving in the Army.

Tongelia never got to say goodbye and was left to raise their son alone.

“It was hard,” she recalls. “I was in Texas when it happened, and the priest came to my dorm to deliver the news. I got my strength through prayer and faith. And I had my son … so that was my strength.”

There was a really good post recently about CEH’s mom from a poster that had an interaction with her during his daughter’s hospital stay. Can’t remember the poster, but it was a true cool story bro.

Nothing in that article states what the other poster said is wrong. It says the accident was 23 years ago and at that time Clyde was probably only 20.
