Assume that the charges against JJ were upheld to crimial assault? Does anyone think Lee would have been a different QB for the rest of the season? I think the way he was playing before JJ was let back on the team, we could have still beat Bama. I think his confidence took a shot when he knew that he had someone who was always favored back on the team. If he never had that threat, I think things would be a lot different right now.

We win the championship. No split practice reps. Full confidence in Lee = Win

I think we play the Bama role- lose the first match-up and be the hungry team with something to prove. JJ just absolutely killed this team.

Well, for one, JL doesn't enter the Bama game looking over his shoulder.

With the benefit of seeing how the season played out, you can now be pretty much 100% certain that JL knew that Miles would go to JJ at the drop of a hat. That's always a great recipe for QB success.

We lose to Bama in Nov. Not sure if we make it back to the ship. I believed that Bama was the only one that would have gotten a rematch. Prolly wind up just like 06. Sugar Bowl champs.

well with mettenberger as the backup instead of JJ, we would have been better off.

loose to bama. But don't make the title game b/c Bama only gets those rematch opportunities.

I completely agree! If you rewatch the NC game, which is a tough thing to do, Alabama's McCarron basically was used like we used Lee early on.

I think we may have even Bama on November 5th because Lee's confidence would have been much higher. I'll even go out on a limb and say we would be undefeated if JJ was never let back on the team.

What is we didn't get more than 28 points off turnovers and punt return at WV?

I think what some people don't realize is that wasn't just average when JJ wasn't on the team, he was really playing very good! The WV game was a breakout performance for him and it would have been great to see where we could have gone if JJ was never let back.

Absolutely!

I've stated this all season.
As soon as JJ was back in the fold, JL knew he was on a short lease. Les was just looking for ANY reason to get JJ back on the field.

With the extra pressure of having NOW to look over his shoulder it was only a matter of time. As soon as JL makes a mistake, JJ was a lock!

JL played with confidence & lead the team on the field very well. As soon as JJ was back on the team you could see him holding back.

Are you kidding me? If Lee started and threw a pick-six, all those people here would have been saying why not JJ? Didn't option work in the game of century?
