The rankings don't mean anything when it comes to seeding. I feel LSU should solidly be a top 8 seed, but they aren't one of the 3-4 who absolutely will be a national seed no matter what. There are a few resumes that are better.
Then you have to factor in committee things like, do they only put a certain number of SEC teams as top 8? Do they ignore resumes to put 2 ACC teams in? Do they ignore resumes to put a west coast team in? Those unknowns are would could push LSU down to 9-10 if they don't win a bit in the SEC tourney, or Auburn does.

Warren Nolan had us at 9 in the RPI after winning yesterday. The issue is the RPI and the committees reliance on it for the top 8 seeds.
But I think everything else is pretty good in our favor. I haven’t checked Warren Nolan since today’s game ended.

95% chance we clinch after the win today
Have Auburn win the SECT, our RPI sit around #9-10, and the committe caps the SEC at 5 teams because of some "spread the wealth" BS and we could be the odd man out.
Again, very little chance this happens, but its possible, hence his "not a lock yet" stance.

I agree. Everything I have seen has LSU as the number 2 overall seed. Even if we go one and done I don’t think they would drop all the way out of a top 8 seed.

If you are talking about the graphic shown during the game, that same graphic had Tennessee at 4th. Idk what the hell that was, but it was in no way accurate.

Some media may say LSU got to sweep Missouri while other SEC programs did not get the opportunity to play Missouri or South Carolina.

I bet cash the TIGERS are top 8.......just my opinion, who else is better?
LSU has a brand that is attractive for TOP 8, super regional, and OMAHA...that gets us over the top.
