I would arrange for "boosters" to pick a fight with LSU players at the hotel the night before in the hopes of getting them arrested or at least suspended.

counters, misdirections, draws, traps. Use the speed against them.

Not at all. Just noting that oregon did have success at times moving the ball.
Fair enough, but you have to admit that Oregon...by their standards...was very much shut the frick down against LSU. Oregon's offense is a bit more high power than WVU's .

Just because we have had a few great defensive games doesn't mean we didnt have issues...

First off our LB's arent wonderful. They need to show run packages and try and get a good TE in man coverage with a LB. Quick passing to a TE could easily gain some yards.

Another thing we all know about this team is they have a tendency to over commit and over react to plays. This works sometimes a la 16 tackles for loss, but can be used against us. Using quick screens to backs as well as counters and reverses could get this team out of position. The main issue with that is you must still get up field fast. We will run you down so get up field and pick up what you can.

Finally, the offense cannot try and force things. Look where TRex lines up and look for him to blitz and be able to throw to his side. If they are planning on throwing routes more than 5 yards keep a back in to block.

Honestly for all the rantards here acting like this defense is unstoppable, they are wrong. This defense is awesome, but there are still holes that can be capitalized on given the right players and calls/reads.

You have to get LSU to over-pursue.

Also use short passes/underneath routes.

I'm not saying that any one can do it but people are not going be able to outflank or outrun us. Someone is going to have to run right at us and knock us off the ball mixed with passing to the backs out of the backfield.
When you run right at someone then you are running away from someone else
We are VERY good right now on defense but we have much room for improvement.

someone brought up sabotage. i'm surprised how this doesn't happen more often. a simple hotel fire alarm pull at 4 am is enough to create a small advantage for the home team, especially for an 1130 kickoff. not advocating this of course, just wondering how often sabateurs actually take arms.

Chuck Norris would be their only hope against The D, but Chuck doesn't play with the weak.

For their D against our O. They will need to ride cheetas with kevlar armor to stop the blinding fast offensive weapons.

If you have a running back that weighs over 200 lbs, sit him. Play with 10 wide receivers and rotate them throughout the game.

Take a bunch of 185-190 lb running backs and throw them passes in the flats all day. Take a shot occasionally to keep the defense honest. The RB vs OLB matchup is the only place our D has performed below average.

So far we have had two position groups that we can't recruit, LB and QB. Hopefully that is changing.

i agree with this

until a team exploits us, we're going to attack...but we can be exploited in this manner

WV is going to spread out the field and throw the ball, which will be a good test for the D. luckily their OL hasn't looked good, so we should be able to get pressure with 3-4 DL

if we run a lot of man, i think they're going to overload a side and get a LB on a WR and have that WR work outside to get 5-6 yards on the reg

i think they'll use screens and RB flares (this is a staple of their O as a safety hatch) to dink and dunk

they will probably set us up for double routes and fake screens to try to hit us deep. if we don't bite, i don't see WV getting the big play (assuming our coverage holds as they have this year)

i think WV will stall in the red zone, which plays into what chavis wants to do. they'll get yards though...it's hard to completely shut down a spread passing attack

Well, you begin like this.

Each member of the OL gets the Captain America shield.

The WR get the speed of the flash.

The RB get's replaced by the mutant, Juggernaut from x-men (as far as I know he has 4 years of eligibility at Xavier school of the gifted if he would enroll)

The QB uses the power of the force to guide his passes and uses jedi mind tricks to convince the incoming defenders that he is not the person they are looking for to sack.

Or, everyone on offense wear all kryptonite uniforms and let Lex Luther be the offensive coordinator and I hope for the best.

How would YOU attack LSU's defense If you were Dana Holgerson?

Have his offensive players lay on the ground holding their heads. Then have their girlfriends run onto the field screaming, "No. 7 kicked him in the face!".

Repeat for No. 17, 22, etc...
