How we get Gruden

Gruden made $30 million from coaching.
He then made an undisclosed amount from the Raiders after being let go during the email scandal. The original contract was for $100MM.
He just won his lawsuit against the NFL in August, which is guaranteed to be another huge payday.
He's got plenty of money. And he fricking. loves. football.
It's not inconceivable to think we work out a deal with Gruden that's technically pennies on the dollar to come here while we get through BK's buyout. Toss in huge incentives upon winning a title ($20MM per 3peat)
Chucky would immerse himself in the LSU culture and bring back real smash mouth football to Death Valley.
It doesn't have to make sense. Just enjoy the thought.

You want a guy who was an nfl lifer, never coached college, never had to recruit and has been out of coaching for over a decade??
I’d rather rehire Orgeron.
Not to mention the only time he did anything of note in the NFL was the first year he took over Dungy’s players in Tampa.

This also doesn't even consider...regardless of if you think it is valid..the email scandal accused him of being racist and that is the public perception from a lot of people

Gruden hasn’t won squat beyond the Super Bowl with Dungy’s players. Career record of 122-116. No thanks.

Gruden’s radioactive and will not coach again. I doubt black players would play for him. SEC and the NCAA would not allow him to coach.

My suggestion. Mortgage the State of Louisiana, pay off the Brian Kelly contract, then throw the checkbook at Jon Gruden. Just whatever you do, DO NOT let Gruden get away.
