Play Perkins. Kid is a difference maker. Hope coaches wake up.

He needs to be on the field, period. I will gladly take a slightly confused Perkins, running around trying to make plays, over a less skilled player knowing what to do but not having the talent to get it done very often.

Get some speed and quickness on the defensive line!

Need better talent.

We have 6 or 7 spots on the defense that is below par.

Perkins needs to be on the field every play and 30 needs to not be.

I may be in the minority but I think this defense is the best in a while. They are pretty good but they seem to give up a big play it yet every game. They are all new to each other and I think they will only get better. That interior line gets push and they can tackle, throw in Perkins and they become well above average. I’m excited about this team after this game. They had a terrible game last week and bounced back like veterans. Kelly is aligning this team at the right time. Let’s GEAUX!

Every defense gives up yards. Can you make key stops and get a few turnovers. We’ve gotten the stops in our wins and got enough late to have a chance vs FSU.

We are still very thin in spots, especially with 2 starters down for a long period. Bringing in better talent and more of it will make a big difference, because the scheme is fine.

Agree, and Burns getting back I think by Bama will help big time, he was playing really well at FS.

Burns will be a boost when he’s back. Wish we’d get Masson Smith back this year…

The fact that he has all that instant impact ability so damn young is extremely exciting

Burns and Brooks are the best Safety combo. That allows Converse and Garner to play CB and Ward the Nickle

No we don't. We have a patchwork secondary but we're pretty good elsewhere. And even there Jay Ward is a very good.

We do not have a championship defense so yeah we have a lot of average players.

We have two elite players in the secondary. One elite linebacker that's a freshman. Two d-linemen that are elite. The rest are average or below.

I think they might be using him correctly. As a spy, he was electric and played a huge role in protecting the lead.

When he was in earlier, he looked confused and out of it at times.

Perkins is the LB, Ojulari is one of the DL. Who else we talking?

All they should work on this week is FORM TACKLING! This has to be the worst tackling LSU Team I have ever seen! Baskervilles effort on the long TD Run was nothing short of embarrassing for a Sr.!!

No offense, because it’s innocuous in this post, but this comment from others drives me crazy. This is an outstanding staff and they spend every waking hour thinking about how best to use our players.
And then some poster tells them to wake up.
