fricking retarded to use this to defend $10mil/year & $100mil guaranteed for a guy that had at proven track record of not winning big games at the highest level

I agree with this part of your post. We've had 3 straight coaches win national championships within their first 4 years. Without researching, none of those coaches came to LSU with BK's career winning percentage. Saban never won a bowl game before coming to LSU.

We can't say that Aranda would have done the exact same here as he's doing at Baylor. I would say that we can judge Napier's performance at Florida and say it would translate to LSU, except he might be able to recruit instate players to LSU that might not go to Florida. But is his issue recruiting or coaching?

I still would have liked to see how Tom Herman would have done at LSU, but EO was my second choice.

He will not win a championship at LSU. I don’t even see how he wins 8 games this year.
hey dickhead, let’s see he’s gone and won 10 games. The last two years got the number three recruiting class. I’d say the future looks bright and you can kindly go frick yourself and your negativity.

This is my biggest issue. Do I love CBK? No. Is a title caliber coach? Haven’t seen that from him thus far in his career. Is he better than everyone on your list except Kiffin? Hell yes.

Would have been cheaper, and had already had success here. I doubt you would have seen the exodus of players if he was the pick.

Not sure why that would have been such a bad pick.

I hate saying it but likely a better pick.

Your list is missing the coach that beat us game 1.

It’s his 3rd year. The problems the team has don’t seem to be getting better. He is a bonehead and can come across as arrogant and even an a-hole. He isn’t going anywhere any time soon, but to me he is getting an appropriate amount of pressure.

Kelly needs 4 full years after the dumpster fire Orgeron left and maybe another after the horrible defensive coaches he hired. Patience children...

He won 9 games. Stop counting a worthless bowl game. There’s a huge difference between 9 and 10.

Plus, he had JD. There are TONS of coaches who could win 9 games with JD. If any team in the top 10 last year had JD they probably would’ve won the championship. If any team in the playoffs had him they’d have won the natty in a blowout.

He was a low risk hire that is much less likely to pull a Napier at Florida and that’s why Woody went after him. Better to win 8/9 games a year and not risk the potential of a 3 or 4 win season. But BK had his only shot to win a natty last year and he wasted it.

How dare we question a man making 10 million a year about his decision making and where this program stands in his third year. The audacity!!!

Emm, questioning is one thing. There were a preponderance of posts wanting Kelly terminated and Woodward, too.

Don’t gloss over the toxic shite show that the rant has become. “Questioning”

Also, Kelly is making $9.5M per year. Who else do you want who will provide better results for less than that? Let’s hear some names.

Question away…absolutely!!! I have my own gripes with the team and some of the coaching decisions. Those are absolutely fair. But what needs to stop is the obvious negative bias towards the man that some have that clouds their judgement of ANYTHING that he does. And why? Because he’s “not one of us”. Give me a break.

Kiffin is in year 5 at OM. In his first three years he racked up 13 losses, went 8-5 overall in year 3, has never brought OM to ATL, no heisman winner, .500 in bowl games, only two winning SEC seasons, and is 1-6 against top 10 teams while there.

Not sure why the board has such a hardon for him. Would you care to explain why?

With today's transfer portal, do coaches really get 4 full years? Was Kelly's first squad better or worse than Saban's in 2000? Kelly won the division in year one. Does he get a pass for hiring horrible defensive coaches?

Only one of those guys was being considered, at most.

Coaching Changes Board suggestions =/= Woodward considered

Well how many teams in the top 10 had TWO WR's drafted in the 1st round.
JD had help winning that Heisman.

Not me getting ahead of myself but Baker sticks around for next season then gets a head a coaching gig.

Aranda gets canned and we get him back as DC
