Just ask yourself this question. How would have Coach O done at Texas? Would he last 2 years with No Aranda to start, and likely no Joe Burrow or Joe Brady since UT wasn't in running for Burrow and Ensminger found Brady for LSU.

I didn’t want him at all. Didn’t want Orgeron either but 2019 was worth it all.

Although we probably wouldn't have had 2019.

We might have - Herman recruited Joey Burrow to Ohio State.

Edited to give credit to League Champs, who said it first.

I did, but then I learned that he named his children Priya Herman, Maddock Herman, and Maverick Herman, and then I wanted nothing to do with him.

I realize Jimbo just beat Bama, but I am still not sold on that guy.

What has he won when he didn't have Jameis Winston as his QB?

And what went on in his marriage is a pretty big red flag for me.

Texas didn't implode under Herman - they just didn't take the step up they were expecting. He was 32-18 (and 22-13 in conference).

That’s right. He was doing OK, but not really improving and UT was ready to give him one more year. Then recruiting started to fall apart and UT had their guy available.

his QB track record, dating back to his LSU days, are unmatched. His overall coaching record is also fantastic.

He would have been a great fit at LSU and I think he would do well here.

He won an ACC title with EJ Manuel in 2012 and an orange bowl in 2016.

All well said about Jimbo, but we can't be a recycled program. Jimbo is an Aggie and Lane is a Rebel. We need our own coach that is not a musical chair SEC incumbent.

this is such a tired argument, for starters he's the one that recruited and signed Winston. Where did we get the standard that you win the title or you suck and what coaches win without great players?

he won 10 games every year at FSU except for 2, his last year and this 2nd when he went 9-4. He also developed multiple QBs.
