No but getting it guarantees a win and not getting it right then changes things and doesn’t guarantee a loss

While not a sure thing, it is clear the decision to punt was a mistake

If Coleman, Smoothers and Simmons are out for UT, we route them.

thats an over simplified look at it. the 4rth and 1 stands out but there were plenty of other things in that game we didn't get right.

having said that, yea the kentucky loss is a problem.

This is exactly why we are the way we are. Route both of them teams huh?

So we getting teams in that are worse than bama, tx, lsu. Om isn't winning anything with that defense. KY will lose a couple games to close the season out and not be ranked or if ranked around 25. Lsu would have possibly just come off beating two top 10 teams. Lsu is also a. Bigger brand. TN has some more losses coming.

I would not be shocked if LSU wins both double digits.

Control our destiny and we won’t be left out.

There are teams in front of us currently such as BYU and wake forest (in AP) that’s just absurd. Beat Bama, Texas, and Tennessee and we will land in the top 5. Guarantee. Just win baby and these problems in front will sort themselves out.

But seriously how in the world do voters go to bed at night knowing they put BYU in the top 5-10!?

I think punting was the right call but I recognize I'm in the minority here

Nah. It was a shite call and Kiffin knows it. LSU will deserve a playoff spot if they beat bama and texas at home, and TN on the road. Otherwise, the Ole Miss loss and Kentucky mind frick will keep LSU out.

We have to win out, end of story.

Yes, would we have an extra win or 2 if we made that conversion or Leavitt threw a few less interceptions? Absolutely but what can you do?

I’d say the refs allowing a guy to lay on top of the oline, not nice for a few seconds, then allow him to score a td is what really hurt.

It was barely a yard and we had the heavy package in with Deuce Geralds. They weren’t stopping a direct snap to either him or Jones running behind him from falling forward.

Yall act like we definitely was going to make the first down. We could have gone for it on 4th and not make the first down.

I still think we win out and make the playoffs, but if we don’t, you can certainly point to that one play as the reason.

The untouched QB on the 2-point conversion in OT deserves more airtime.

Tennessee losing to USC and Ole Miss losing to Texas hurt us a little bit IF we don’t win out.

1. I do NOT think any CFP committee will include LSU at 9-3 NO MATTER WHAT. We need to be 10-2 or 10-3 (SECCG) to make it in, IMO. No conspiracy theory, I just think this year folks are gonna bend over backwards to leave Lane Kiffin OUT of the CFP if possible.

2. NOT going for that 4th and 1 in the game at UK was a MAJOR error. But not having TGreen in second half at OMiss and at UK was more costly to us than that mistake by CLK in Lexington. TG healthy is all games might well see us 8-0 now.
