What kind of sadomasochist bastard LSU fan would put themselves through watching any more of that horrible game?

I watch to the bitter end. Don't want to suffer any more especially since I live in North Al.

Never seen it, never plan to, never want to.

I stormed out the Dome after Richardson's TD run and have yet to watch a single highlight from the game.

What NC game? As far as I am concerned last season did not happen

I haven't turned on ESPN since Richardson scored...and don't plan on it anytime soon!

I watched every second of the game to 0:00, the trophy presentation, "Touch that thang folk", and most of the postgame press conference. I might rewatch the game eventually (I did delete it off my DVR the next day though).
I guess I just really hate myself :) ...But seriously I think I was in disbelief and was trying convince myself of the reality of the moment.
CAN'T WAIT FOR 2012!!!

I actually decided to try and watch it once my emotions were calmed a little. Started watching and when Jefferson fumbled the 3rd snap I turned it off. I will probably never watch it. Too painful

Hard to fault LSU fans for not rewatching that game. I wouldn't in your place either.
I always immediately delete games my beloved Tide lose. In fact I deleted the November game withint seconds of the end of OT.
I don't know if it's any consolation to any of you, but this years national championship has seemed somehow just... less... than all previous titles.
As the game ended on Nov. 5th, I was sure Bama was completely out of the running. We'd had our chance and blown it. We were done. Worse, even as the other contenders dropped out, I had this gnawing feeling that we didn't deserve a rematch. I WANTED a rematch, but didn't really feel like we deserved one even though I was sure we were the only team out there with any chance to beat LSU.
To make matters even worse, beating LSU in the National Championship, while it did make me happy, just somehow wasn't satisfying. It should have been, because Bama had just beaten the best team in the nation, but it didn't feel like a National Championship. It felt like a conference championship. Somehow the title just doesn't satisfy like the others, because there was no hype filled romp against some overmatched out of conference "powerhouse" to put the exclamation on it.
So take heart. I at least feel your pain, understand your anger and my enjoyment of the title has been lessened by the circumstances.
I also expect you to be right back at the top next season... and for a long time to come.

quote:YOU, ARE, THE, MAN! I appreciate your kind words and interesting insight. I would have probably felt the same way if I were a Bama fan. At the end of the day, who cares who you beat in the NC. You're National Champions! But it probably did cheapen the feeling since it was a rematch of a division foe. If your 1st post is a sign of things to come, post often. Welcome to the Rant.

Agreed! I hate watching LSU losses no matter how good/bad they play. The fact that we barely crossed mid-field on offense and the fact that Ala. moved the ball (like last time) b/w the 20's with precision would be a nightmare to watch again. Cannot wait until Nov. 2012! Geaux Tigers!

nope, and I never will. That game if thats what you want to call it is banished from my brain

What a post! Hard to add to this. And yes, it does mean a lot that this 'ship seemed lessened to you. If the roles are ever reversed you'll really understand.

I stayed in the dome and watched until the clock said 0:00, just as I do every game....I walked out of the dome, down to the quarter into my $700 hotel room and went immediately to sleep...hardly said a word until the next morning....I didn't listen to radio or tv for about a week and a half...honestly, that was the most humiliating sports experience I have ever had....
that was not LSU on the field that night...one day, I would really like to rewatch the game a few times just to figure out exactly what the hell the problem was, but it will be many years before that happens...

Just about every one of you who says you have not seen any of BAMA's post game celebration/trophy presentation is lying. ESPN opens every Sportscenter with a 3-4 second clip of every team's celebration (in the major sports) from the last 365 days. I'm guessing most sports fans, (like most of yall) tend to watch sportscenter on occasion.
