Tiger Stadium is now majority.......
Corporate Give-A-Way ticket attendees. (They leave early)
Wine & Cheese attendees (They leave early)
Attention Whore See & Be Seen attendees (They leave early)
NONE OF THE ABOVE have any connection or strong attraction to either the LSU Football program or the University.
Piped-In ultra garbage music instead TGBFTL the entire game.
What's the ultimate way to handle all the annoying BS instead of tolerating it all and getting mad.
Move 12 hours the frick away and not have to deal with any of it. (Except for a few annoying little weak Cheerleader MA's on the Rant)

It's a clown show. Field rushing, flag planting, brawls. You'd think Roger Goodell was running it.

Yep. Used to watch at least a couple games on Saturday. Now I watch LSU when I can get it for free - ain’t paying cable or streaming prices.
Quit the NFL a few years ago. College is close on its heels.

I still love college football more than anything….particularly LSU.
However, I can remember thinking how fed up I am with the system twice this year. I actually considered giving up my season tickets both times. I will imagine I’ll hang in there a couple of more years to see if they can get the system straightened out.

I’ll never give up but the enthusiasm wanes by the year and that mostly goes back to the dumb covid season even before NIL and portal chaos.

It's a financial windfall for these young players

Too bad they aren't showcased, yet here we are.

Thankfully, there is Jay Johnson and staff and the stout LSU baseball squad to keep me happy in the spring.
How ironic that in a thread of “former fans” dogging the current mercenary system and lack of player loyalty to team, you seem totally OK with a baseball team loaded with hired guns, one-&dones, and transfers winning a championship for “our school”…

I no longer have a passion for what’s going on with college football. I’m officially done with it and didn’t watch the LSU Oklahoma game. It’s a bad product

I have. No loyalty to the school. NIL doesn’t have a cap. No desire to see a game anymore. I love LSU with all my heart but it will never be the same unless changes are made.

This likely needs to be a BIG arse lawsuit court decision
OK, so then- who is suing, and who’s getting sued?
“Disgruntled Fans v. Billion$$$ System” is not realistic… I really hope they come up w/ some kind of way of reeling in the money’s influence and slowing down the transferring, but I’m seriously asking - what type of lawsuit could force some resolution or regulations?

I have nothing against the teams with the cash taking advantage
But isn’t the money NOT supposed to be coming directly from the schools? It’s that “*wink-wink*” that makes me cringe at the hypocrisy; were we better off keeping it under the table?

I’d watchUNLV play San Jose state at 11pm just because it was on.
This was me. Nothing better than a nightcap or two and some G5 football. Those players are more likely to play for their school. A lot of those kids peak with a scholly to Nevada or UTEP.

Am on the cusp of giving it up. It's no longer college football. No commitment; no loyalty to the school, the fans, or their teammates; no continuity; and the whole system now promotes quitting instead of perseverance.
Since the almighty dollar is in control, the powers that be likely will find a way to keep a lot of people watching; but no honest person would claim this is the game most of us grew up loving.

Kinda funny. We bought a CWS Championship. Works both ways

I’ll still watch and pull for LSU. The games are still fun for me, but no question my affection has cooled. I am not nearly as invested.
Same. It is what it is. It's not the same sport anymore.
I don't pay Kelly out of my pocket, so I don't give a frick how much or little he makes. He's the coach of my team so I pull for him to succeed.
As for the players, as long as they wear our jerseys, I will root for them.
I didn't care for the BCS playoffs that much, because it killed the bowls. Remember when winning 8 games and going to a bowl meant the fanbase was happy 8 weeks, with a chance to end the season happy? That's all gone now. Our base has bitched incessantly since losing game 1, got nervous when we made a run, and then combusted with the late slump.
I get it, we want to win it all. The problem is, so does everyone else, and about 25 teams (half the SEC and Big 10, and about a quarter of the Big 12 and ACC, as well as Notre Dame) think they SHOULD. And when they don't have a crack at it, people get miserable. And ultimately, only one fanbase ends up happy, and the rest are pissed. No more Sugar, Rose, Orange, Cotton Bowl victories to celebrate. Rivalries aren't something to gear up for, you want the win for a playoff berth only, unless your season is shot. Nobody cares that we beat Ole Miss, or beat Oklahoma to end the season in a blowout. Just a bunch of grumps saying we failed because we didn't make the 12 team playoff.

I think this NIL thing proves that people...
A. Just don't like change
B. View results in a vacuum
Fans are mad because LSU lost 2 huge recruits, and rightfully so, that shite sucks. But take LSU out of it, and this was one of the most fun years of college football that I can remember.
The hell with going back to 1-2 non blowout games a week.
I'm not sorry, I don't want to watch Georgia play Alabama, or Ohio State, or Clemson, or (insert any rotating combination of high spending teams) every year for the natty.
Football is actually a fun product to watch again and people are mad. It's incredible.

I’d rather go sit on a deer stand and watch reruns of Friends than wager my afternoon off of what BK puts on the field.
