How many of y’all said you’d be happy with 10 wins before the start of the season?

I was one. 10-2 in regular season and a NY6 bowl game for an 11-2 record would have been considered a good season.

Now, I want 15 wins.

Here’s to surpassing expectations.

It’s like money. No matter how much you get you always want more.

We win the West and get back to Atlanta I’m gonna consider anything beyond that icing on the cake!

At the start of the year I would have been fine with 10. But we’ve already gotten past the games I thought we could lose.

I still think it would be a “good season”,
But a disappointment with the start so far, no doubt.

My expectation was 11-1 or 12-0 but I am not a over zealous type fan. 10-2 would have been OK but nothing to write home about. My actual biggest priority for this season was beating Bama just so we could get over the hump with these frickers. That doesnt mean I am satisfied with it and saying we are done

In looking at the schedule and what LSU had returning I thought 10 wins was a reasonable baseline for a “good” season. I wouldn’t have been “unhappy” with a 10 win season. But I would have been a little disappointed because I felt the stars had aligned for a serious playoff run

Not me. I knew this was going to be a high water mark. We will not have the team next year that we have this year. In fact, I think 2020 and 2021 will be slightly down years as we flush the mediocre 2018 recruiting class. I’ll be happy with 10 wins next year, though.

This.

Obviously losing the SECCG and not making the playoff would be disappointing.

But finishing 12-0 or 11-1 and winning the west even if it doesn’t get further than that is a huge step forward for he program.

I thought LSU would go 10-2 at best. I have been pleasantly surprised.

Just curious - which 2 losses would you have predicted?

10 was the floor for me

It wouldn’t be a great season but acceptable I suppose

Most thought we should finish with more wins but the tough schedule was taken into account

Here. I was predicting 9-3.

I stuck with 9-3 after beating UT too because I thought our defense would lose us three games.

Fortunately our offense is good enough to keep that from happening so far.

We’ve exceeded my expectations.

I expected 10 wins and to be in the running for a playoff spot.

Thing is... this year can’t be an aberation because of joe burrow. Need to show improvement every year
