There's more than one train.
Lots of people support O fully as interim HC and want him to win every game.
That does not mean they are all on the train for O to be the new long term HC.

has said he'll take a lower salary to ensure more money for assistants

LSU is (maybe was minus Cameron) already paying more to the assistant coaches than any other team in the country. So forgive me if Orgeron's gesture to take less money so the assistants can have more comes off as empty.

All of the Les pumpers who didn't want him fired to begin with...amazingly they've now turned into the real nega-tigers

Nobody with a functioning brain wanted Miles to lose. As much as I despised his coaching style, I could never bring myself to pull against the tigers.

Coach O could lose 2 more games this season and I would still want him as head coach. Look what he did to this program in the short time he has been head coach. Just imagine what he could do with an entire off season. He is one of the best recruiters in the nation, and keeping him would allow a better chance of keeping the current staff, which I also like.

He hired Frank Wilson and Freeze for his Ole Miss staff, so maybe he knows a bit about hiring good assistants.

if we want to lock down Aranda and bring over Kiffin, that will take all new levels.

Miles was making 4.3, Cam was 1.5, Aranda is either 1.2 or 1.3 (Ive seen both). thats 7.1M.

Kiffin just got a raise from 714,000 to 1.4 for this season, but his contract is up at the end in February.

we can pay Orgeron 3M (a reasonable level all things considered), and Aranda and Kiffin both 2M, with no new buyouts, and still save money from last year (which will hopefully go towards other raises).

theres no chance bama matches 2M for Kiffin when they already have Sark on staff.

Kiffin only made 2.7 in his first year at USC, Fedora makes just under 2M at UNC, thats HC money for both coordinators.

What if LSU gets blown out against Bama then proceed to win out. Do people still want him as coach?

They did. A lot of those same people voiced that publically here, and on some other forums as well.

I don't understand those with the attitude that we have to beat Bama and win the rest of our games to take the interim status off of CEO. If he achieves that, I say the heck with coaching, he should be given sainthood. CEO has already turned this program around in a few short weeks. Just as a fan who watches the games on TV, I can see that this is a totally different team in terms of attitude and execution than early in the season. CEO has shown me enough already. Unless the team collapses the rest of the way (which I don't think will happen) I believe we have found our coach.

****I'd argue that it made more sense at that time to root AGAINST Curley, so we could get him out faster and get a better coach in.

Short term pain for long term gain*****

Copied from another thread before Les was fired. This guy and several others were very open about them hoping that LSU would lose so that Miles would get fired.

I truly believe we beat Bama but if we can get Fisher or Herman I still prefer them. And spare me the losses. They are still tremendous masterminds. All great coaches have bad losses, even Saban has.

If not them then I would consider coach O

That would be an interesting scenario.

1. Herman 2. Jimbo 3. Coach O IF we win out. That's my order.
