OP has been melting all over this board since Howard transfer was announced.

Must be an STM fan or alum.

Him and the small band of fools like him bring nothing substantial to this forum.

I'm sure someone (I hope at least) has pointed out to Nuss that with the frequency Daniels runs and the hits he takes he could be playing any given snap. Before the downvotes - thats not a shot at Daniels. I'm a fan if JD. Just pointing out that he takes more shots especially to the knees than most QB's. And he showed it down the stretch that it wares on him.

He gives off that team player vibe.

He said as much in an interview when he came in expecting to play behind Brennan for 2 years and possibly behind Max Johnson.

If I’m Nuss and I had to watch our abortion of a passing game this year from the sidelines, I’d be pretty upset with CBK’s decision on the starting QB. His performance against the #1 defense in the country showed that he’s ready to play right now. I don’t think he’s okay sitting around and backing up JD for another entire season to maybe be the starter in 2024

Atleast another year I assure you. Yall are pathetic as football fans and really need to start following soccer.

I think Nuss plays more than just mop duty in 2023 like the Purdue game and has been told as much by BK. If BK wants Nuss to stay until 2024 he knows he’s got to throw him a carrot.

No he won't. All Daniels has to do is literally throw the ball downfield more to completely erase all this nonsensical talk. What people seem to forget is that when he first got to Arizona St, the big thing on him was how he liked to throw downfield and make big plays. As a true freshman he had 6 games where he threw at least 280 yards and averaged 8.7 yards per attempt. The problem is going to LSU after having a turnover filled season, it was probably drilled into him that all he needs to do is not turn the ball over to win the starting job.

Nuss will get plenty backup rep though because I think LSU will put a lot of games away by the fourth quarter next year.

Even if JD is named starter Nuss will likely play in every game next year then be the starter the following 2 years. Staying at LSU is the best option for him.

2024 offense will be loaded. O line and receivers will be elite. Should have an elite running back by then. Nuss will be in Vegas breaking USC off with their shitty defense to start the year. He isn’t going anywhere, no other quarterback in the country will be set up like him to succeed.

His dad is professional quarterback coach. I'm fairly certain that he all of the bases covered.

I would be shocked if TCU didn’t first call Nuss concerning a transfer. Let’s be honest Nuss was head and shoulders better than Daniels in the Georgia game. Which for most folks was the team to beat this year. Tcu folks saw what happened in the Natty and realize in review of all Georgia games this year Nuss shredded that defense. Daniels was great with extending plays and drives at times this year. But also had some very vanilla outings against Ark and A n M as well as Georgia. I do believe Nuss would have looked better in those poor outings than a continuation of Daniels. Can we all agree that Howard doesn’t look ready for sec play. There is no way TCU didn’t call Nuss first. My point is that I think Nuss believes he will start at LSU next year or is ok with his role as is because I guarantee he has been contacted already.

I think Nussmeir (and his father), are smart enough to realize the ABSOLUTE MONSTER of a roster he'll be inheriting in 24-25. Hell, I know his father has made it clear to him. He played QB in college and the NFL for Pete's sake.

I realize these guys have a quick trigger to leave and find playing time (and rightfully so), but the grass WILL NOT be greener away from BR with what BK is building here.

Nuss isnin a good position. Daniels has 1 more year max and then he takes over good LSU team with a veteran OL.

Agreed. I also think he will play more this season. Not only is there the ever-present possibility of JD getting hurt, the playbook on how to defend JD is out there.

If JD can't get defenses to back off using his arm, then BK is going to have to play Nuss if he wants to sniff a championship.

I'm convinced that MF'ng trolls that start threads like this are just fans of other teams trying to create controversy where there is none. Then all the doom and gloom frickers come out of the wood works when in actuality the future of LSU football is bright as fricking day! frick all the hatin MF'ers! :geauxtigers:

What is to keep BK from going to the Portal and getting another dual threat QB. He and Denbrock seem to prefer.

If Nuss stays he will be locked in starter for 2024. If he decides to leave I'm not worried at all. We will add a qb in portal in spring and in 2024 Top QBs in portal with college experience will definitely look at us.
