How long can Nuss sit around and not play?

If I’m Nuss and I had to watch our abortion of a passing game this year from the sidelines, I’d be pretty upset with CBK’s decision on the starting QB. His performance against the #1 defense in the country showed that he’s ready to play right now. I don’t think he’s okay sitting around and backing up JD for another entire season to maybe be the starter in 2024

I believe Nuss is up in air until after spring. If he performs better than JD and Kelly decides to go with JD there may be some fireworks.

I think Nuss is committed to stay and pay his dues till 2024. He gives off that team player vibe. He will be our starter in 2024 and we should have a stacked team. The Oline will be absolutely sick by then and would be surprised if the 5 starters are all drafted

Nuss isnin a good position. Daniels has 1 more year max and then he takes over good LSU team with a veteran OL.

If there is a wide open QB spot on a very good team I’d be concerned but he’s not in the same situation as Joe.

Yes he has 3 years left and Joe only had 2. Seems like he’s in a better position if he feels the need to leave.

He’s also competing with a guy with 1 year of elligability not 2.

If Joe stayed at Ohio State and lost the job to Haskin (which he may have when he left) that could have been it for his career.

Instead JD is JT Barrett and Nuss is Joe.

Why is everyone so damn obsessed with making sure our backup QBs are happy? If Nuss is good enough to play, he’ll play. If not, he won’t and he’ll have to decide if he wants to wait a season or transfer. The program will not disband if it’s the latter.

Why should he leave now? Seriously?

He's a redshirt freshman, with 3 yrs eligibility left. He's behind a senior, who is gone after next year. His only competition for the job after next season just left. He's staring at starting 2024 at the latest, behind a good offensive line with good WRs, and a couple years in the same system. He's going to inherit a Top 10 team.

This is why he didn't want to burn his redshirt, isn't it? To have more time going forward?

This guy hates him some lsu and Brian Kelly. It’s very strange and I’m glad people are noticing.

I think Nuss plays more than just mop duty in 2023 like the Purdue game and has been told as much by BK. If BK wants Nuss to stay until 2024 he knows he’s got to throw him a carrot.

I’m 2024 we will have a 3rd year starting all American left and right tackle on the o line

If Nuss does leave, we will have our pick of the litter for any transfer QB

So dramatic. Also, don’t forget, he was some of that “abomination of a passing game” so he didn’t watch it all from the sideline.
