No. No they don’t. Overrated player. Far overrated coach.

I feel it is what they do in the 4 weeks of fall practice. Nearly all big time team install Tgeir running attack part of tge offense first and have some hard nosed criminations. You get injuries from that but you instill a feeling of the need for physical domination in the OL. LSU works more on the technical end and does not have those scrimmage, so the result is less aggressiveness in the OL and to a certain degree the DL. I don’t like injuries but I believe to win a NC you need the aggressiveness that comes from the hard nosed scrimmages.

Go research OL's everywhere Kelly has been. Big and dominant. He knows that's what wins games. He's had some beasts here, too, but not like the past. I think that has to do more with OC philosophy. Today he's had to adapt to passing where as before physical run games were the decisive ingredient.

I heard someone talking about the level of talent you go against preparing you for the next team.. the last 3 years the DL has not been that great vs the run . The OL can't run block.. the DL has been pretty good pass rushers.. OL can pass block pretty well . It makes sense

Yeah, it's weird this thread is still surviving, Notre Dame ended the night with 53 rushing yards which means after the first drive of the game they basically gained nothing rushing the rest of the game. Our o-line was a disappointment, but ND's is the wrong example to point that out by. They were manhandled after that first drive.

This is a rebuilt line and team with backups. They're really beat up. LSU loses Dellinger and he becomes a reason or excuse for everything that goes wrong on offense the remaining games of the season. Not close to championship caliber. No depth and look gassed after 3 quarters.

This is really the Crux of the issue. Three years in, with a portal and we are still barely scraping 5 guys together. One goes down we can’t even handle it. ND loses several guys including their LT and go on to beat a top ten team.

Disappointing especially considering the tackles we had playing

Ryan Day didn’t walk into a program in shambles and 38 scholarship players either

ETA: the focus of the OP I agree with, our physicality has been lacking in both sides of the ball, it appears we do not have a great S&C program. Not enough weight put on some, too much weight put on others (Kaleb Jackson). The two centers we’ve had under BK have both looked like they are playing on skates.

Kelly is way too soft on team over summer. Each year it takes us several games before we reach the physicality needed. Kills us every year.

You guys need to quit making shite up. We lost to a better team in the 3 previous season openers. Especially 2023 Florida State

We did fine last September against South Carolina, who was one of the better teams in the country. The team wasn’t in unplayable shape.

That’s funny because the A$M people are saying the exact same things about Moffitt that we said his last few years here. Let’s just say they weren’t impressed with him.

ND O line was fun to watch. My guess this is more about there players than their coach. Can’t always have it all their qb is light years away from Nuss. Is that coaching? What about receivers and TE?
