I don’t mind it, of course, but I’m surprised these nit picky refs haven’t thrown a flag and I hold my breath every time I see him score. Are they easing up on celebration penalties?

I haven't seen celebrations flagged recently unless they think its taunting.

Same reason CEH didn’t get flagged for spiking the ball against BAMA. TAF finally outspending the REC

If I am not mistaken, celebration is no longer a penalty unless you direct it at the other team.

They are lax on celebrating past couple years. As long as you aren’t taunting to the extreme or doing a coordinated dance with others they are good.

It has to be because I've seen a lot of post TD celebrations that used to be flagged that aren't now.

I thought when CEH spiked the ball, "Oh damn, here comes the flag."

Because TD celebrations have always been flagged in the past? You act like it’s so outlandish. Devin White got flagged for imitating Cam Newton against auburn last year, but yeah, what a silly question by me...

Would Brad Wing’s action get flagged today?

Was absolutely expecting to see laundry on the field after he did that. Although he did roll and slammed it down as he got up. He didn't take the ball and high step and spike it.

I think you can celebrate you just can't taunt the other team, but I could be wrong.

Right. They letting it go now as long as it's not overtly drawing attention to yourself or taunting the other team.

A celebratory dance move and ball spike is perfectly acceptable now.

There was 2 in the UGA game 2009 that were unbearable. It ultimately worked out for us but it was terrible.

They got more lax on it as long as it's not choreographed.
I think I would probably tone it down knowing how NCAA refs are and how different they are across conferences especially once you get to the playoffs.
I would hate to have that impact a kickoff for sure!

It wasn’t a Gronk spike. It bounced about 8 ft straight up. If he took a few steps and speed it he probably gets a penalty. Or if the ball bounced for off maybe he gets a penalty.

I think as long as the ball is quickly back to the official and it's not prolonged, taunting or planned... no flag

Yes, and it would still negate the score if it happened before the ball crosses.
