How hard is it to re-shuffle the seed bracket?

Arky and LSU are the top 2 remaining seeds. Dumb to play first.

Seriously, how hard is it? I know it’s discussed every year. They are all coming to the same place. They will play whenever and whoever they are told to.

They used to do it.

And it was dumb then because it was totally arbitrary.

The bracket is the bracket. No point in changing it in the middle of the tournament.

There’s already a thread on this.

Also reseeding is dumb. The field was set almost 3 weeks ago. Thems the breaks.

Not reseeding. Re-shuffling based on their original seeds..

Wouldn’t be that difficult. Just look at the most important metrics like RPI (because that’s absolutely critical and an indicator of who the best teams really are) and then the population of each school’s city.

Is that not essentially the same thing?

Don’t need to reseed. Just use the seeds established for the field of 64 and base the CWS brackets off of that.

They seeded the tournamnet prior to regionals and they got it woefully wrong based on results. Why would we trust them to do it again and get it right this time?

How'd they get it wrong?

Because teams choked?

So if an 8 seed in the March Madness bracket upsets a 1 seed in round 2, they should have to be reseeded and beat another top team since they will be one of the lower seeds left in the Sweet 16? Nah man, that's not how it works. It just sucks that the last 2 SEC teams in it have to face each other in the same bracket right off the bat.

Only 16 of the 64 had rankings. The others were put in tiers based on their seeds. That doesn't mean that #64 was sent to #1, #63 to #2, etc.

Also, this past weekend was set up so some teams had to play Fri.-Sun. and some Sat. - Mon. and their first game in Omaha is based on when they played the Supers. If LSU had to play again today, THEN be re-seeded to play on Friday in Omaha, that wouldn't be fair.

If 2 highly ranked teams was on the other side of the bracket and lsu was the only one ranked on it’s side, you wouldn’t be asking how hard it is to reseed the bracket

You catching a lot of DVs but I said the same thing before the regionals were played. There is no way you know who is going to Omaha at that point so now at the highest level we have a poorly seeded tourney

I am with you man!

Because half of the top 8 including the top 2 seeds didn't advance out of their regionals and only 2 of the top 8 made it to Omaha. Not to mention they screwed Coastal out of hosting a Super despite them having an RPI of 3.

The point isn't really that they got it extremely wrong, its that they have no clue how a murray state compares to an LSU so why should they reseed anything?
