I'd be curious what Daniels' MPH was on the 85 yd run. It's been noted that he has hit 21 mph in practice, I bet he hit that on that run. He actually swerved back into the field at the end, instead of running away from guys.

He said he was running out of gas at the end and didn’t want to hear it from the guys all week.
I just don’t have a clue how fast everyone else was running. Fournette run in Pittsburgh was in the rain, 90 yards, and in a straight line which he blew past the DBs leaving them flat footed. There was no catching him. He went over 22. That is insane for that late in a game that was already won in the rain. He ran faster at LSU but this was late in the game in the rain. Of course LSU was on grass too. LOLOLOL OLE MISS LINK

Not to mention...JD looked like he had another gear when he burned all of UF's secondary. I bet he wasn't at full speed.

My unprofessional opinion JD is fast, elusive, but most importantly his acceleration is top notch IMO

Then you said some of you should watch other sports. All I did was pose the question. I used to follow track and field closely and know the difference.

Ok
Fournette ran a 21.57 200 and 10.6 100 and ran over 23. Let’s say Daniels is close to him. Maybe he could run the 200 around the 20.75-21 range with training. That would put him at around 35th - 40th or so in the world this season. That is REALLY big stretch assuming he could learn to start and run the curve with power plus make that distance.

He didn’t as he said himself he got tired and didn’t want to get caught because he didnt want to hear it all week at practice. So he had to swerve.

He’s going to check in at 6’3 and get up to 215lbs at the combine and then run like a 4.39. Add in his production and the fact that’s he’s a good young man; NFL execs are going to cream their pants

He is fast. Not putting him down.

I just think he is way quicker than his track speed would show.

game speed and track speed aren't always the same thing

Tyran Matthieu and Johnny Manziel come to mind.

Xavier Carter clearly had a higher top speed. I don't know who would win in a 40 but XC ran the 200 a second faster than Holiday.

They both have a 10.0s personal best in the 100m. Trindon has a faster 60m. Xavier a faster 200m.

Looks like he only ran 11.37 100 as a junior in HS which is not very fast. He graduated HS early so didn't run track his Sr year.

Some said Trindon ran a 4.18 40 at the combine. Don’t know

Bo's best 100m was 10.39s. Trindon would smoke him.

Agreed.... He is quick and fast at the jump and accelerates for the first 20-30 yards, then has another gear if needed but for max 60-70 yards, then he slows down a bit (I saw that from his longer runs).

If I were to guess his times:

40- 4.40 to 4.5 range (due to his quick burst)
100m- 10.6 to 10.8 range
200m- 21.7 to 22.00 range

No clue on his estimated speed, but he gives me the same vibes that Cam Newton did vs LSU's elite secondary. Cam outrunning PP7 to this day is still one of the more impressive feats I've seen from a qb.

Jayden too outruns SEC CBs that are in good positions to make routine plays every single week and it never fails to put a smile on my face.

His 40 time is irrelevant, because that is affected by how explosive and clean his start is.

What IS relevant is that he outran a starting SEC DB who had an angle on him, the length of the football field.

In looking, that's #14, freshman safety Jordan Castell. Dude was a 4 star, who some services are saying will be a Freshman All American. So he's not a pure speed guy, but you'd think he could still haul down a QB if given 80 yds to do so.

If you watch the run LINK, Castell lines up at deep safety, 15 yds off the ball.

He takes 1 step to his left, then 2-3 strides running flat at the 28 yd line while Jayden approaches the line of scrimmage. He's dead right there

As Daniels hits the 20 on the numbers, Castell is still flat at the 29, at the hashmarks

As Daniels is about at the 23 (about to lose the nearest defender to Nabers' great block), Castell starts turning to give ground, approaching the 30. Too late. BTW I don't know why 23 falls down, he might have caught him

This is interesting... Daniels at the 30. If he were a normal QB, 14 (Castell) catches him at around the 35, and 8(?) gets him around midfield.
Meanwhile, we see Lacy (2) murder 23 again.
