Typical Rant responses. Lots of drama, exaggeration and ignorance.
First Les was a a very good HC. He got a Natty, played in two and averaged nearly ten wins a season in the SECw. The problem many have with him is that he was not aa good as Saban, who, in fairness, is the best ever.
Les' flaws as a HC are well known, with him stubbornly clinging to an outdated offensive philosophy. 1/9/12 was inexplicable.
As a person, Les certainly can be faulted for being a lecherous old man. Apparently, the entire insitution was full of folks who did not respect women.

Yep, he gave us the best decade we've ever had, which people seem to forget or ignore.

I wouldn't say inexplicable for that, just "trapped".

2011 was a very, very good team with some flaws. It would destroy 99% of opponents (everyone except Alabama that year).
We saw Lee in the first Bama game, and he had zero chance to win that game. ZERO. People ignore that. He had 2 picks, should have been a 3rd at least. Could not escape their pressure, could not beat their secondary.
JJ salvaged that game with his legs, but let's be completely honest about that- the only reason it worked was because Bama wasn't prepared to contain a running QB. Alabama was slightly the better team most of the game, but LSU's D kept them from getting scores (by the skin of their teeth). And towards the very end, LSU's offensive line finally wore them down enough to move and make some plays. It took going to OT to win.

Rematch was doomed from the get-go. Saban had time to prepare for both QBs, and the Dome is a better environment for FG kickers. Lee would not have saved us.

I view him as an eminently better coach than Ed O

I really like how Les, who really loves attention, has been cancelled, quieted and shamed. Couldn't have happened to a more egotistical creep.

As an incompetent dolt who really should have been fired after his embarrassing performance in the NCG in 2012.

I agree. Woodward and Kelly will win big here. Kelly is an elite coach who finally has the talent to win big

I’ve been watching highlights from the 2005-2007 era on YouTube and the level of coaching incompetence and lack of game awareness is difficult to comprehend. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it now, Orgeron was a better head coach even as he didn’t give a shite his last two years. Neither coach should ever been hired at LSU to begin with

Curious if Miles is involved in football at any level now or just retired. Haven’t heard anything since he was released from Kansas.

I see Les Miles as evidence that the organization behind the coach is more integral to success than the coach himself.

The same way I view 99.9% of our former coaches, in the rear view mirror. Thanks for your service and the titles. Save for Skip, none of our coaches are revered by the entire fan base.

Pros:
- I think he really cared for the players.
- He was a decent recruiter.
- Had some of the best defensive players and teams in college football history

Cons:
- Old school
- Hard headed
- Disasterous OC hires
- Meddled in offense
- dipped pen in company ink

It was a fun time.it really was. Until it wasn’t. And then it got ugky. Really really ugly. And the more that comes out, the uglier it becomes.
He brought us some serious highs. But also embarrassing lows. It was always a roller coaster. That’s what made it fun. But good god was it a struggle a lot of the time. Also….
I f***ing hate the toss dive.
