How do you see the Wade issue playing out?

So, there are really a few options with what might happen:

1) Wade never testifies. Maybe the case does not go to trial (plea bargain) or the Defense just decides not to call him.

2) Wade is called as witness and, on the stand he takes the 5th.

3) Wade testifies and provides some innocent explanation of what he was talking about - that it was not pay-for-play.

Then after that, LSU leadership and/or the NCAA call him in and ask him to explain.

Here are my questions for you:

1) Do you really think he will have an innocent explanation for the phone call? One that LSU and the NCAA can accept?

2) If he cannot provide an innocent explanation or continues to refuse to talk, can you see LSU not firing him immediately?

He will be reinstated but this years recruiting class will take a hit which is a no brainer. This will all be a big pile of nothing imo

He’ll go to the trial and say “frick you, FBI”, then comes back to BR, walks in Joe Alleva’s office and says “frick you, Joe! Reinstate me or I’ll frick you up.”

He'll be cleared after the legal case ends. Then he'll bolt to an SEC rival. Then the Search will make a terrible hire.

What question do you foresee him being asked in which the judge will allow him to invoke his Fifth Amendment right to not self incriminate himself?

Wasn’t he subpoenaed by the prosecution?

Unfortunately, I think Wade ends up fired and we vacate the whole season.

Our team subsequently endures a decade of sanctions and slips quietly back into mediocrity.

Seen this show before....

I love Will Wade.
I ride for Will Wade.
I’m all in for Will Wade.

But he broke the rules and should be fired.
Integrity is more than sports.
I hate to say it. It pains me to say it.
But LSU is bigger than any coach. Even a savior type coach.

To me whether or not he testifies has nothing to do with LSU. It’s implied that we paid players. Alleva won’t reinstate him until he knows the NCAA isn’t gonna find anything. He wouldn’t shock me at all to keep an interim coach all summer

Wade's testimony on Smart is completely irrelevant and will not be allowed, regardless of whether the defense calls him or not.

The defense. It was mentioned in countless articles.

What crime do you think he has committed that he would have to take the fifth? Paying players is not a crime.

In a perfect world.
Wade is retained with no penalties.
Alleva is replaced by an actual AD and one that cares about LSU winning.
Some of the POS BOS are replaced by people that value winning sports.
All Alleva shills on the board get mad and never post here again.
And we win the national championship this year in football.

And world peace.
