Lee did enough to get us by and didn’t make too many mistakes to cost us. He did put us behind a few times, but we were bailed out by special teams and the defense. We don’t win that SECCG without them. I think we had 48 total yards at halftime.

48 yards at half. 237 total yards for the game. We did have a good second half running the ball. Lee didn't play in the SEC championship game. Only quarterback with stats is Jefferson who was 5 of 13 for 30 yards. Should have been a warning to the coaching staff for the Bama game on 1/9/12. You will not beat Bama only running the ball. The coaches were oblivious to our ineptitude on offense that followed the first Bama game.

Jarrett Lee wasn't the next Jarrett Lee. Guy would have had a fine career under any coach other than Miles. I still think we would have won the BCS title if Miles had put him in over JJ at anytime in that game. Miles offense was were good QBs went to die.

Yeah he was pretty bad vs Bama

He folded like a lawn chair under pressure and our OLine wasn’t doing much that night either.

had a awesome year then shite the bed against bama in the 9-6 game

JL played 8 plays in the first half and one in the second. Against the best D in college football. Two bad throws and he is crucified by all the football “expert trolls”.

Our offense was NEVER the same after that. Check in with Rueben Randle to confirm. He and his family told Miles to take a hike about him returning for one more year as a result.

I’d be thrilled if MB was as good as Lee. But I believe he will be better.

At least I am rooting for that.

Mike D thinks so, and I will take his word over yours and day of the week.

What exactly makes this hack “an authority” on QBs?
I guess Brennan does sound like a coonass like Tommy Hodson, but damn that’s about it.
Hodson was a gritty mobile bastard. Not the strongest of arms, that guy was nails...

You mean undefeated starting QB on the number 1 team and the dumbass coach benches him?

he could be under Ems. we need a competent QB coach, thats been our very obvious weakness for the better part of a decade, and orgeron simply refused to hire one.

Brennan looks more like the second coming of Ryan Leaf.

We don’t and for all we know he might be the next Peyton Manning

That means he would have to be coached up..what little I’ve seen of him doesn’t exactly scream Peyton manning

Also, that’s like saying bamas Tua could be the next Jarrett lee, but that’s a pretty silly statement

The same Mike D that said just two weeks ago that our next OC wasn't currently on staff? I understand him and Ed are friends, but the dude is still FoS most of the time.

Even the color guy said with the OL play Breeze wouldn't have helped LSU's cause.

Changing QB in a championship game when the starer can't do anything? Think that might work

Maybe he’ll break his pick six record

Insert a freshman QB, with not defence, and tell him he will have to outscore the opposition to win. Who gets the blame? Not Miles the great recruiter and developer of QBs. Not Maleveto the sterling defensive duo. Its freshman a QB. Remember the Meercat Defence?

Miles will have the benefit of an outstanding defence, an experienced OL, talented WRs and talented RBs. I'm predicting that he will make us proud.

I wonder how many on the coaching staff, when Lee was QB, have had great careers after they left LSU.

Man, some of you are so incredibly stuck in negativity you will find ANYTHING and bring out the negativity in it.

I’ve never seen anything like it. It’s become a real sickness with you.

you mean the Jarrett Lee whose stats in 2011 were:

104-167
62.3 %
1306 yards
7.8 yd/attempt
14 TDs
3 INTs
152.0 Rating

Who led us to an 8-0 start and a no. 1 ranking, including wins over the PAC-12 champ (and Rose Bowl winner) and the Big East champ (and Orange Bowl winner).

No, and it's interesting 2017 NC has resurrected the fallacy.
Career 1/7 TD/INT is all I got to say........well except this ain't Tua we're talking about putting in, and it wasn't Bama's OL protecting against the '11 Bama D.
