How do we get a home playoff game?

As a fan who genuinely enjoys watching games in Tiger Stadium, I would rather be a 5 through 8 seed and end up with a home playoff game than a first round bye. Yea, yea, yea.... say what you want and downvote away but the campus scene would be ridiculous and we'd get to possibly watch a team come play a playoff game in Tiger Stadium that we often don't get to see.

I feel like we need to go 10-2 and not win the SEC to get this. If we go 9-3 I feel like it will be a long shot for us to host. If we win the SEC we most definitely will get a first round bye.

Lets worry about winning the rest of our games before we talk about playoffs, its a longshot anyway.

With the 24 team playoff, assuming first two rounds will be at home fields, you should have plenty of opportunities for this to happen. No need to hope for LSU to not do as good as possible this year, and get the easiest path.

At this point we just need to be concerned about our next game.

LSU, UGA and Kentucky win out. They’ll play in Atlanta, loser probably gets 5 seed and then LSU falls in 6-8 range.

Right. It's a one game playoff every remaining week just to get into the CFP. If they can't get up for these games, they wouldn't do much in the cfp anyway.

If goodbeers58's post season thoughts affect the performance of this team or impact an outcome in anyway, this might make sense.

It’s six weeks out. Gotta begin looking for reasons to not have to go to Christmas parties.

This is about the only realistic way for it to happen. It's the only way that LSU can win out and still avoid the SEC Championships game.
