Because the LSU defense was more porous than cheese cloth and allowed more points than the offense could score. Sucks losing games 50-48

Because we couldn't stop anyone, even by accident.

Everyone wants to just blame House, but our defensive talent matched his coaching.

He is a damn cheat code in the NFL, not to mention Michael Vick Madden level cheat code in college last season.

It’s a travesty we had a high school level defense and “special” teams.

The defense was such a travesty but as much as we all hate to say it, the cupboard was pretty bare. Either way, it's crazy that both Joe and Jaden had the number one offenses for lsu. I can't even remember a time where LSU had the number one offense other than those guys. Joe had the advantage in terms of offensive line, a slight Edge on receivers, and a much better defense. But either way I don't even want to compare them much more than that because they were both so excellent

And that's with us ranking 107th in opponents average time of possession in 2023 and 112th in takeaways per game..
..just think about the numbers JD5 could've put up if he had a few extra possessions.

I didn't even know that. Thanks for those numbers. I still stick by the fact that we are so blessed that we have both of them. The truth is that we will never know what quarterback would have done better with the same offensive players and coaches but who cares? How awesome is it that we could even have that type of conversation? Truly amazing that we could even watch those two guys play for LSU

It’s extremely difficult (Impossible) to qualify for something that DOESN’T exist!

There were playoffs last year. Just wasn’t the expanded version.

Our defense was as bad as he was good. It was a damn shame.

I understand and appreciate what you're saying but I don't think you need to clarify. Pretty sure everyone here knows that it's speculation of a hypothetical.

Opponents were playing tackle football, while LSU was playing flag football and could not tackle anyone. Not to mention pass coverage was non existent with WR running routes with no defensive players in the same zip code.
