WVU could have the best offense in the nation, but losing seven defensive starters means you're losing again this year. That's more starters than we lost on both sides of the ball. From a team that finished 11-2. We played one of the worst Qbs statistically last year just to mess with the psyche of opposing teams, something never before done. Hatter's gonna hat.

And the spill about LBs needing to cover... We moved a safety to LB for that purpose. And don't let these guys joke with you about the DLine, they are going to be batsh1t crazy this year.

A conference team win will be more important. We win the BE and were BCS bound. We win the BE and beat you... well, you figure that out. There is no question that LSU will be the most difficult game we play. No doubt...

Geno Smith is the best QB Holgerson has had. That's what he said anyway. So I believe what he said. Why would he set such high expectations? Also he said our offense has picked up his scheme faster than any other.

And lastly....

Gundy had no relationship with Dana. He gave the offense to him and Dana had full control over it. Dana is unusual in that he doesn't buddy up. He's like a mad scientist or something. I don't know, it's weird but he is successful. He left Leach because Leach wanted to throw it every down. Dana runs it more than most give him credit for. Just look at his numbers at Ok State.

WVU fan is excited. I'm cautious because of the weird set up with Stewart being around. However, there is no doubt our offense is hard to defend. I saw that this spring. I'm not sure how you defend it because of the mis matches it creates. And you better be deep on the backside of your defense, which you all apparently are.

It will be a battle. This I know....

And defensively I'm not worried. Jeff Castell is a great coach and we are loaded with talent. Bruce Irvin is an All American and Keith Tandy isn't far behind. Yes we graduated some, however we played a two deep last year and were ranked in the top 5. And, no offense but your offense doesn't scare anyone. Particularly with your new OC who we beat like a drum before.

on the other hand the linebackers will get absolutely abused this year.

So because of a spring game where you're first team offense was basically playing a second team defense, your confidence is high that y'all will throw for 400+ on what is arguably the best/deepest secondary in the entire nation this year?

It's strength vs strength, and I like LSU's chances, just from a proven talent standpoint.

The same was true last year and 11 teams lost to that horrid offense. Everyone knew LSU couldn't pass yet they were still able to run the ball. If LSU simply has a pulse in the passing game to compliment and help out the running game they're going to win in Morgantown.

I know Shannon Dawson personally and the best description of him and Dana I could use is "buddy buddy".

You guys locked up two of the hottest offensive minds out there. You will have great results. You will win the Big East.

LSU is fielding the best team we have had since '03 next year though. A gorilla with a chainsaw penis. It will be a bad night passing for you guys. Best of luck on the rest of your season.

But still, 4 people who were good enough to start last year are back, everyone else is in the coal mines. We get back 7 of our defensive starters.

What do you guys (WVU) return on offense? Haven't scouted you guys much yet. LSU lost a starting WR, one OLineman, and our starting tailback.

Come on man! What the hell else is he supposed to say? "He's pretty good...but I've seen better". Do we need to show you Les Miles quotes on Jordan Jefferson to prove that coaches are full of shite when speaking to the press?

Case Keenum was getting heisman talk in 2009, and again in 2010 before blowing out his knee. There is absolutely no shot that Gino is a better passer than Case. The NFL draft will prove as much.

Agreed.

True, I have no idea how LSU's 1st string highly touted D can compare to WVU's 2nd string D

I have some great water front property located in the Morganza spillway I'd like to sell you. Holgerson said it would be a great investment. I'll give it to you cheap.

Geno couldn't throw for 400 against their 2nd string D, but he's gonna do it vs. the Chief & one of the top secondaries in the country? moonshine + meth is a helluva combo

if you've watched any lsu football over the last decade, you know lsu has a "flair for the dramatic" which is a nice way of saying every game is close, no matter who the opponent is. having said that, lsu finds a way to win.

i don't think "generally" doesn't mean what you're implying here.

Quarterback Geno Smith threw for 388 yards with four touchdowns in Friday night's spring game (albeit against the No. 2 defense

So your QB threw for 388 against the 2nd team defense of a team that has to replace 7 defensive starters next season? And you think he will throw for 400 against a team that returns a better secondary than that in which he managed 119 passing yards this past year? :logicfail:

We got a flashy new OC who will throw it on every down and return all of our true receivers. Be prepared for us to throw for 400 against you. And that's not smack talk, just the reality.

You try to throw 400 against us and our Defense will outscore your offense.
