LOL, come on, he just came from Oklahoma State where he had Brandon Weeden. Weeden is better than Smith. Didn't he also coach Case Keenum at Houston? Smith has not shown to be any better than those 2.

No the best stuff from last year was Noel Devine saying before the game. LSU just isnt that fast I dont see a problem.
And for a while there the WV guy had me thinking he really believed they could win, he turned out to be a troll though

Just because you put 84 points in your Spring game doesn't mean you'll do it against LSU's defense.

We all know you got a new OC. But you've got the same players and so do we.

Just FYI man, Mike Brockers is 6'6" 300 lbs. Anthony Johnson is 6'3" 294 lbs.

Worst case on defense:
I like our DE's but you have to admit that they are undersized. With our weakest part of the team being LB core, I would go run, run, run and take safety's out of passing game and turn them into run support. That being said WVU has no running back. Our DB's are great, but if they have to play on an island sooner or later they are going to get burnt. That is my recipe for beating LSU this year. I am not saying that any part of this team - quaterback will be bad, but we are not perfect.

look, we know about Dana. wanted him to be our new OC (at least me and a few others did). but we got a whole bunch of badasses back there in the secondary, and the incoming youngins ain't even had a chance to bask in the glow that is Ron Cooper's tutelage. 400 yds my arse.

Trying to be as unbiased as possible here, because I do think this will be a tight game, but there's no way WVU comes close to 400 yds passing. You didn't accomplish that against your 2nd string defense, no way it's happening against the best secondary (not just corners) in the country.

The thing is, if we have an off night offensively than you could still pass for 200 and beat us. That's a possibility, whereas throwing for 400 yards on us is not a possibility. Hope this helps.

Dana Holgerson's OSU offense only threw for more than 400 yards FOUR times last season.

1) Tulsa 2) Baylor 3) Texas 4) Kansas

Of those teams, only one (Texas) was a top 10 passing defense.

Dana Holgerson's OSU offense only played against 3 Top 50 total defenses all year (a fourth team, OU, was #53).

The teams are Texas, Arizona, and Nebraska.

Against those three teams plus OU, how many times did OSU throw for more than 400?

Once.

And that was WITH a better QB, one of the best receivers in the college game, and an excellent RB.

WVU has no Blackmon. Geno Smith is still Geno Smith. And Devine is gone.

Figure it out.

This guy may be an idiot flamer, but at least he's hyping the game.... which is a lot more than you can say about the Oregon fans

40 attempts =/= every down

Kendall Hunter ran for 1500 yards last year

I have a WVU friend who goes to LSU for his master's. He has been hyping Holgerson's new offense since they hired him.

Unless they have a Justin Blackmon, I just don't see them throwing for more than 400 yards on us. Also, they have no running back.

I understand they are excited, but these folks are a little too optimistic, IMO.

I had no idea Shannon Dawson was coaching at WVU. I've know him since we were little kids, played ball with him and lived right down the road from him. Obviously haven't talked to the guy in years, but friends on facebook lol.

Even though I like Shannon, no way his team throws for 400 yards on the Tigers. They won't even throw for 200. Lay down the crack pipe kid.

Shannon is the OC in waiting for WVU now. On as wr coach this year, will be the OC once Dana is the head coach.

You should check out what he has done (all div 2 and 3 schools) so far. He finally got a good gig, time to shine. I think him and Dana are going to break big east records. But I'd be shocked if they get more than 200 vs us.

The Raiders drafted Jamarcus number 1. JJ has been setting the world on fire in practice for three years.....people say dumb stuff. Especially coaches.

WVU fan is excited. I'm cautious because of the weird set up with Stewart being around. However, there is no doubt our offense is hard to defend. I saw that this spring. I'm not sure how you defend it because of the mis matches it creates.

Could it be the absolute suckiness of yalls defense. Yalls defense made us almost look like we had an offense last year...and you lost over half of your contributors. Yep, comparing LSU to WVU on D is LEGIT!!!
