Either as it relates to Funes or Wade, on a scale of 1–10? Why are you concerned/not concerned?

Right now, 4.

I think the fact that Funes was paying Davey's family after he left LSU would give credibility to the narrative that it had nothing to do with LSU athletics and everything to do with money laundering.

On the other hand it looks pretty bad to the average uninformed non-LSU fan. So the NCAA will definitely be paying attention.

The Wade thing is likely a done deal unless something else comes out.

3. I’m always a bit worried, but I think that if a major football program falls for recruiting violations, there is the possibility of a domino effect, because recruiting is intertwined. It appears to me this is what happened in college basketball, to some extent. If you pay for a player, it stands to reason some other program wasn’t willing to match or couldn’t match, but was willing to pay. My guess is that LSU and others know a lot about how other schools recruit. If you start a thorough investigation about one program, you’ll find a lot about others. I think knowing about other programs, if my assumption is accurate, sort of creates a de facto system of checks and balances. At some point, the NCAA has to turn a blind eye, because if too many top-tier programs fall, it makes their business model difficult to impossible to maintain.

As it relates to Funes, this looks more like a money laundering thing than a recruiting thing. Perhaps the two are linked, but given the timeframes, I think it’s difficult to prove that. The WW thing is probably over unless new info comes out.

And no - Ole Miss is not applicable towards my theory because they were never top tier program.

less than 1. There is zero credible evidence to support either cases of pay to play. Funes is a POS that tried to launder money through people ... not pay them off. He fully expect the money to come back to him.

To me it's concerning in that the NCAA in their narrow minds have to make it look as thought they are doing their job. I realize those bastards never do their job right so simmer down while I opine.

Once they start looking, they find where one athlete got a dime's worth of what appears to be special treatment, they want to continue on (Star investigation of Clinton, Mueller investigation of Trump....one thing leads to another).

At another college I am familiar with, many years ago, a somewhat renegade coach, a winner as well, met with several folks and I was present. It was funny how he stepped on campus and within a few weeks he had a half dozen or more 4 stars on campus, players who had jumped ship at their previous college.

A booster asked him about a rumor that the NCAA was looking into how he got those kids to this small, off the wall university. He said they want to play for a winner, AND we need to keep the NCAA away from campus. Once they come, they'll find something and they'll grasp at anything.

My fear is that if pressure continues on the NCAA, they will have to make themselves look like their doing their job. They'll grasp for anything.

Rest assured my barristers and solicitors are handling these baseless, unscrupulous assertions by this cockamamie entity known as the NCAA.

Wade is a 1. A rep with the NCAA was interviewed and said the NCAA cannot use anything as evidence unless it was entered as evidence or discussed in open court. Nothing regarding WW on the wiretaps was entered as evidence or discussed in open court. People need to stop listening to Yawho's Funes-3 Only reason is I don't know who else Funes funneled money through to return to himself. But it's fairly clear Funes was using other people to cover the paper trail back to himself.

Yawho has lied and exaggerated this entire ordeal. They've manipulated the truth and have done their best to implicate LSU football program as paying for play. And this is a lie. And they are still regurgitating the same crap about WW and the NCAA. While not reporting all the other programs that have been notified of impending sanctions. For whatever reason Yawho and their awns have an obsession with LSU. And it's getting to the point of sickening. Like a stalker, stalking a woman. That's how they are beginning to appear. By the time all this is over and LSU, WW and the football program come out clean, nobody will ever listen to anything these reporters have to say about LSU. They are going to look like fools, and are already. Anyone with a lick of sense can see this is a personal attack against LSU by people that have a serious bias against LSU. Why? Who knows. But what LSU needs to do is start kicking arse on the court, the field and the diamond. Every sport, all year long. Win and win and win at everything. Apparently that's what these clowns don't want. The more we win the more pissed these assholes will get. Sorry for the language. I'm so ready for LSU football 2019. I'm so ready to beat everybody and win a NC. It's time! It's time for LSU to dominate the way they can and should be doing.

I don't worry about things over which I have no control or even input.

I want LSU to stay out of trouble with the NCAA, but I am an LSU fan no matter what.
