Did we watch the same season?
1) Let's not forget, 90% of the FBS would kill to be where we are. We're consistent winners, we recruit well, we're in the premier football conference.
2) We had 6 influential starters taken completely out of the game this season. I'd like to see any team win as consistently as LSU under the same circumstances.
3) We have a QB who's never taken any meaningful snaps until this year. There's going to be an obvious improvement, especially when Hurst returns and our rookie linemen and WR get more experience
4) Ok, so let's say we listen to some hater's stupid garbage and get rid of Miles. Who is out there right now that's better?

Im not up to date or qualified to answer about potential coaching changes. But I do not believe Les Miles is the perfect coach for LSU and that no other ocach can do what he does. No one expected Saban or Miles to be as successful as they were when they got to LSU. Who's to say another coach can't do what Saban or Miles did.A new coach could be hired and LSU goes to crap. There is no way to predict it.

You can say what you want about our issues this year. Its not an excuse for being 1/13 on 3rd down with nearly 200 yards of offense against and Florida. With a little more consistent offense against Florida and a 4th down stop against Bama we are sitting 12-0 this year.

10-2 while playing in the SEC and when losing key starters at a rate never seen before is more the reason some of us are not crying in our beer.

What about wins over Virg Tech or OSU or ND or Oregon or Ga or Tex A&M or Alabama?

Do those bug you too.

I give Miles credit when credit is due. He's won big games and deserves the credit. But he also has lost winnable games and deserves the blame for those too. It works both ways.

Nothing from the 90s era should have any relevance to how happy we should be now. For an analogy you own a business and it has its low unsucessful times. Now its currently doing very well but theres things that if changed could make it better than ever. As the owner, are you just going to say well we should just be happy we arent back at those low times. No you will try and fix those changes.

Sure it should. It gives perspective. Some fans around here think they are entitled to perfect seasons and championships every year. Sorry Cholly, it aint happenin. It wouldn't happen if we still had Nick, or if we had Jesus H Christ on the sideline.

Some of us who didn't become fans in 2004 or 2008 remember those times, and while we'd love to see a NC every year, we are thankful for these GREAT seasons because we know they can't last forever.

Les would have won ten games every had he not had to throw Perriloux off the team, I know its been said a million times, but it's true.

Get over yourselves people.

Cry more, idiots. Like it makes a difference to the program or anyone that actually contributes to winning football games how miserable you want to make yourself.

We may as well have went 0-12 last season for all I care.

So do Patriots fans despise Belichick for losing two SBs they were in?

"Screw making it to this superbowl shite!!! I want to be 5-11 again!!!"

Because with that great record he has one 2 loss BCSNC and those two losses should have been been wins against poor teams. The SEC west was down that year with the next best record being Auburn with 4 losses. Last season was the only season we seemed to be dominate every week mostly do to defense, but the NC game kinda puts a damper on that season

I don't think it's necessarily that people throw out the record as much as it is that alot of folks believe that many coaches in CLM shoes would have had the same success (or god forbid more) given the situation.

Also, I know it's an old school way to think but many still have the opinion of it's not whether you win or lose but how you play the game that matters.

I actually watch the games without the goggles and simply put I admit CLM is a good coach and has done an adequate job...of course if you simply look at the box scores on Sunday you would say he's done an unbelievable job.

Win the games that don't matter, then lose the game that counts. To Alabama. In a hilarious and crushing defeat. We'll be hearing 21-0 for the rest of our lives.

You freaking moron! Every game counts! Every. Single. Game. If there would have been one mis-step we still would not have won the title. Do you think losing to Oregon (a game you say doesn't matter) would have allowed us in the BCS game?

Do you think losing to 'Bama at 'Bama would have got us in? NO!

Stop being so freaking stupid!

I thought his comment made more sense than yours.

It's a set of baffling mental gymnastics. How do they do it?

Because a certain former LSU coach a few states over has been kicking our arse since 2008 while winning 90% of his games, stealing our recruits, and capturing 2 (possibly 3) national championships.

Les did not build the program. Saban turned it in to a top 3 program. Miles has done a decent job of managing It but its not as good a program as it was when Saban left it.
