How can Miles detractors rationalize throwing out the record?

The only thing that comes to mind is that he's ultimately lost out to Alabama four out of the last five years; even the best of records won't necessarily win championships. It's still not a good argument, though. LSU has contended for the title in every year that Miles has been here except the rebuilding era in 08-09. It's unfortunate that things haven't broken our way more, but the fact that the man has been here for eight seasons and had a title shot in six of them is incredible.

You think Miles lost the National Championship on purpose just to spite Jarrett Lee? Now I'm perfectly fine with anyone blaming him for the loss. Hell, I blame him for that game. But you think he did that intentionally?
And you would seriously rather go winless than what we did last year? Ask Auburn fans how much fun this season was for them. Last year was the most fun season I've ever had as a fan of any team, except for maybe the Saints in 06 and 09. You sound like such an entitled piece of shite.
