Our current QB is not an SEC level QB.

Then why have we wasted time and money on him? Seriously. Saban and other teams seem to have backups that in many instances outplay the starter. If we are a top dog then we should have a top dog backup.

Our offensive coaching staff probably 'changed his throwing motion' because they knew better....and the kid is less accurate than the day we signed him. I don't trust any of our offensive coaches have a clue how to coach or devise an offense. They should all be out of football, and take that ST coach with them.

It's the OL, stupid. How can a QB get better when there is no protection or consistency?

If one player is performing poorly, it's generally the player's fault. If EVERY player is performing poorly, it's the coaching. I'm not saying MVB is some great QB. But I don't think any QB, WR, etc could have success in this offense. Everything about it is just fundamentally and schematically bad. The running game has been abysmal for 2 years...with (now) upwards of 15 different offensive lineman playing. It's highly unlikely LSU just got unlucky and landed 15 separate offensive lineman who can't run block. The approach to the passing game is horrible. The avoidance of the middle of the field is unbelievable. I've never seen a team throw so many bad WR screens, yet somehow believe it is a key to success.

Is there a WR on this team that could have started on Kelly's first or second season team?
The entire team started to Rot the day Kelly, or maybe I should say Woody, came to LSU.

Good coaching causes any level of talent to improve.

Bad or no coaching causes any level of talent to regress.

It’s really that simple. LSU football coaches have failed miserably to deliver the goods.
The entire OFFENSIVE STAFF is hot garbage. They're USED CAR SALESMEN that can't effectively coach up their position athletes. Hankton and Atkins are just as bad as Davis. IN OVER THEIR HEADS at this level. They're the 2025 Offensive Doppelganger version of the 2023 "Pennywise the House Clown" Defensive shiteshow. All due to BK's "I'm comfortable, coasting and DGAF" lazy arse hiring BS, in addition to Woodward's intrusive meddling.

The sound of them massive Defensive Lineman grunting and cursing as they come at you can be frightening. Especially if your see your offensive line repeatedly in various stage of being pancaked.

Simple logic. So if football games are won in the trenches by big men, then we can assume if you lose the battle in the trenches, your QB will be reduced to the "survivability" instinct.

Adding to that thought on our QBs. When was the last time one of the top Heisman favorites like Nuss played so poorly?

I didn't think he was that inaccurate myself. Have you seen OTHER QBs from last Saturday including the supposed all world Mateer of OU? How about Manning? How about Lagway? I will admit he does have "happy feet". What I noticed was he threw into coverage when OTHER receivers were 12 yards in the open.

IMO, his main problem by far is throwing to the wrong receiver and not seeing the coverage. But once he threw the ball, I didn't see him being more inaccurate than many starting FBS QBs. Even his INT was an amazing jumping grab by a DE/LB in the path of the ball...seen that INT hundreds of times.

It's hard to be accurate if you can't see over the offensive line.

Wait one damn minute...

I was led to believe that MVB was a future Heisman contender! That he would come in and correct all of the wrongs that were obviously Nuss's fault.

Have I been lied to?

I couldn't agree more with all you said, and I have said that exactly all year long. This post was directed toward lack of accuracy my MVB, and from what I saw on film from him last year, he is clearly not as accurate. Thus my post, because he isn't the same. It wouldn't surprised me at all if our O staff changed him in some way.
