ATm deserves every bit of this situation. I can’t wait to see how that cancer works out at aTm. I have nothing against the kids but if Jimbo doesn’t set some rules that locker room will fall apart and I’m loving it.

I never liked Brad...Max was over rated and his brother seems to be a little punk also. I am glad they are gone.

Is there some news article, twitter post, video, or something to substantiate this? I'm not saying he isn't a helicopter parent, but just because they show him 20 times during a game doesn't mean he's contacting the coach.

Max is gone.

I'd rather focus on the fact that Brennan is back, Nussmeier is available, Howard is signed. The future is bright.

Max was the best we had at the time. It's a shame that he is not confident that he is a better quarterback than Miles Brennan. He should have no fear of competition. Max has more starting experience. If he turned out to be the better quarterback at the end of fall camp, he would start. But of course we will never know because he ran from it.

Good luck to him.

Jimbo won a title with Jameis and his dad. I’m sure he’ll be ok.

Jake is the prize. Max likely isn’t going to beat King hell maybe not their true freshman either.

All the schools that he could have went to, that one confuses me the most. They have the top QB in the nation committed and signed. They just ran QB out of town that beat Alabama. Does he really think he’s gonna play

Well, it's because he is not, and he likely realized that .

The Johnson’s are mercenaries and the dad is very controlling. He leverages his kids.

They aren’t so much “helicopter parents” as they are “lawnmower parents”

They’re the family that everyone hates in travel ball. Always cozying up to the coach. Johnson Wife kissing up to the coaches wife …. Backstabbing the other kids and their parents…

Watch the movie
“Bad parents”

It’s about them

He went in the portal before Myles came out of the portal. It’s Nuss and Walker that he was scared of.

If we think Max is shying award from competition, it was actually not competition w/ Myles he was avoiding. Myles announced for the transfer portal in November while Max announced a month LATER in December. If he was running from competition, it was competition against Nussmeier, probably Howard and possibly an incoming transfer portal QB.

Personally, I think Max's transfer was driven more by a combination of the desire to be on the same team as his younger brother (who'd apparenlty soured on LSU after the coaching changes) and Max's general uneasiness about the coaching changes. the '22 team will have a completely different coaching staff and nearly a completely different roster than the staff/team he signed w/ following the '19 championship season. My thoughts are pure speculation as I don't claim to have any "sources" and I haven't talked to the Johnson's. Having said that, I still don't understand his transfer nor the timing of the transfer. If he insisted on leaving, why not make your last game a bowl game w/ a chance to go out w/ a winning season?

With infinitely more 300 yd passing games and TD passes, despite not having the running game Etling enjoyed.

This is all silly. Max being here helped LSU, and oddly, his leaving doesn't hurt LSU. Why so bitter? He's at a rival, yes. But he won't play there.
