Sep. 1 Tulane W 48-17 Baton Rouge

It was so hot, while we were in line entering the stadium, the sweat was dripping from our fingertips and elbows

UT 2005 was hot
91 A&M was oppressive (as was 87 OSU game)

BUT the hottest I've ever been in Tiger Stadium was the Houston Game (K. Faulk won that game single-handedly).....I had the box seats in South Endzone......on the field....and it was simply like an oven.

I know it's Western Carolina, but I'm surprised only 2 previous posters have said this. This is easily the hottest night game I've ever attended, even hotter than UT 2005. I remember looking at the West lower bowl seats from the student section, and all I could see was people fanning themselves with their programs.

'92 A&M game was the hottest day game. I baked in the east stands all day, and the stadium ran out of ice before halftime!

'05 UT game was the hottest night game. My dad has been to every home game since '72, never had any health problems, 51 years old, 6'0", 160 lbs, had a heart attack that the cardiologist said was triggered by the heat and humidity (and probably the outcome of the game). He survived because they helicoptered him off the field immediately after the game.

Not only was I there, I sat in the south endzone row II I belive. We sat under the eve of the upper level which eliminated all hope of a breeze. I remember the sweat on my arms getting all over a very nice lady sitting next to me with her daughter. After that game I started bringing extra shirts and underwear to early season games.

Nothing like chafe and mudbutt to dampen my cheering mood.

baseball: game 1 or 2 (can't remember) against Texas in the CWS Finals 2009. I honestly did not know the Midwest could get that hot.

That was game 1, where LC got shelled and Matty Ott came in and saved the day. Game 2 had the rain delay, and that flawless performance by that UT pitcher. Game 1 was by far one if the most exciting LSU Baseball games I have ever been to. I remember thinking that LSU might have had an advantage with the humidity if they would have been playing another team instead of Texas. Game 3 was pretty much over by the 5th.

Hottest Football game in Tiger Stadium was by far 2005 UT game. App state was hot but the humidity and miserableness wasn't on the same level as 05 UT. The fact that we list in OT to UT didn't help either.

I am surprised that so many people are mentioning the Texas A&M game in the early '90s. That game and the one at Texas A&M were the two hottest games that I have ever attended. They were afternoon games in early September televised by ABC and they were miserable.

During the one at LSU, I spent most of the game watching the number of people being "escorted" out of the stadium like they were bodysurfing at a rock concert. I remember my head spinning a little as well, but that could have been the booze.

I have talked about those games for years, and it is weird the so man remember them like I did.

The UT game 2005 was the second hottest, most miserable day of my life. Florida 2007 might be 3rd.

The worst was a day in NYC back in 2002...it was over 100 degrees and it rained for about an hour. You think the humidity is bad in BTR...try NYC as a steam box.

Funny story about UT 2005...I was helping a friend out that night...and I ended up getting "chaffed." I asked her if she had any Vasoline or Boudreaux's...she said, "I have some lube". So I put the lube on my inner thigh...and...IT WAS THE WARMING KIND!!! It burned me up.

I remember the Auburn, Troy Twillie game being pretty damn hot as well...that would be my number 4.

That was the night Mike Tyson beat Bruce Seldon...and Tupac got shot. I remember those 2 facts...but I don't remember it being that hot..and I was in the South Endzone.

Heat doesn't bother me, so I remember the cold games instead of the hot ones. The Indy Bowl vs MSU was pretty miserable. There was an Arky game a few years back that was kind of unique. Those of us on the east side in the sun were in shirt sleeves while everybody on the west side was bundled up and shivering.

I remember that. I was on TOS then and people were wondering what happened to him. I'm glad he made it.
