Been saying this since 2019. It was Burrow’s offense not Brady’s. Brady improved our receivers, but It was Burrow’s plays. The twitter video of the same play between Burrow and Chase in college and at the Bengals really convinced me. Maybe that’s why Brady wasn’t successful at Carolina.

So you think it’s more likely that Burrow designed an entire offense than Lombardi using some plays from that offense that worked for his QB WR combo ?

Bengals designed part of their offense around what Burrow was successful with in college.

When he arrived they asked him to draw up his favorite 10 plays from LSU

It was Coach E paired with Burrow complemented by Brady.

An NFL team has never adopted a young QB's college plays to make them more comfortable, huh?

Or maybe it was the shite OL play, chronically injured starting RB, or carousel of QBs?

When a title says hot take, it usually isn’t, you just think you have an unpopular opinion and are prefacing the negative reaction you will get.

No doubt Brady helped as an addition. Clyde also broke out in 19'?

Burrow did throw for nearly 400 and 4 TDs vs UCF. It was coming.

You people who can only think in absolutes amuse me.

Not recognizing that a large portion of our success was based on having the #1 pick as QB, a top 5 pick at WR, another #1 WR, another #2 WR and a #1 RB is crazy.

Having said that, clearly that offensive coaching staff was able to take advantage of the talent…which is not something that always happens around here.

Brady was and is too inexperienced to be a NFL or P5 OC. Carolina reached and lost. And while I cannot blame Brady for accepting a golden opportunity, he needs to learn the most valuable lesson of this experience. He needs more experience.

If he learned this lesson, he will be on a P5 staff next year. If not, he will be HC at a place like ULL.

When we overmatched a defense we could pass in 2018.

People who say “we got better as the season went on” just ignore that we threw for had 290+ yards and 3 TDS on 25 passes against Ole Miss in our 5th game.

Because Ole Miss sucked.

Just like Rice and UCFs G5 defense couldn’t match up.

“But they beat Auburn”
In 2017. We beat Alabama in 2019 what did that do for us in 2020v

Maybe or maybe it’s Teddy Bridgewater/ Sam Darnold/ Cam at this point is like having Jefferson and Lee instead of Burrow?

CMac being out also a factor
