Alex Atkins is being very underrated at running game coor, he’s also a OL coach- Sloan is a passing OC and didn’t no diddly about running. It can’t be worse than it was last year. Clemson will be a Top 3 D we face. It’s a crying shame we start the season with them and our unknown or tested OL.

It is so interesting to me that no one knows what will happen when the season opens. It would be nice to beat Clemson at their place, but I do not expect it based on recent history.

Our line has been soft as baby shite and that goes for lots of other units too. If BK can’t figure out how to make LSU nasty like we were before he got here he’s not going win squat.

I tend to agree. Clemson finished like 82nd against the run last year. Hard to see a scenario where they go from awful against the run to elite that fast.

Yes our o line will be brand new starters but we will have some absolute large humans up front.

Is this suppose to be impressive? What P5 school doesn't?

100% agree. The crowd noise causing false starts worries me more than them just out talenting us up front.

It’s like the media has forgotten how several ACC teams pushed them around last year. Jeff Brohm and Tyler Shough almost put up 40 against all those “1st rounders”

Our biggest issue was a freshman at center and later a freshman at left guard due to injury. Both played better by the end of the year. And that experience combined with the transfers and the backups moving to start and a couple of stud freshmen gives me hope the Oline will be better and deeper.

TJ Parker is the real deal but Peter Woods is overrated imo. Heldt is a wait and see as he was on a terrible Purdue team but had decent production

Woods was playing out of position at 320+ pounds as a DE last season. out of necessity — not exactly the setup to showcase his strengths. He’s a natural interior guy, and now that they’ve got Heldt to hold the edge and free Woods up to move back inside, you’ll probably see why he was so hyped to begin with. This set up - along with having a real DC this season - is why everyone is so high on Clemson’s D.

Joe Sloan is the weak link here.

There’s nothing overrated about Clemson returning an arse load of talent.

They certainly do. But LSU was statistically much better than Clemson against the run last year against a better schedule. Would you feel good about LSUs Dline if we only added say Pyburn in the portal heading into this year? We’d be freaking out. Clemson is going to have a good defensive line. But we play good defensive lines every week in the SEC. You don’t go from 80th against the run to top 10. They will be good but they aren’t a juggernaut.

They straight up got manhandled by Texas for 4 quarters.

Not exactly. They got owned by Texas in the first half, made adjustments and played well in the second half. It was a one score game with 11 mins to go. They held Texas to 10 points in the 2nd half.

Regardless that isn’t an indication of how 2025 Clemson will be. Also that was a pretty good Texas team so even if they actually did get man handled for four quarters it doesn’t indicate LSU dominating them.

Do you forget that LSU legitimately got man handled by Bama at home for four quarters? That was also last season and has zero to do with 2025.

Clemson's D-line is stacked with NFL players. A lot like how LSU's O-line last year was stacked with NFL players but didn't always play well.

LSU couldn’t run the football

Will see what gives

We have complete new O Line, and not a Center who was stuck their because we had no one else who could play Center and Chester was next best OL. Chester also committed 14 penalties.

I think we will be better at run, but prob not as good at pass block.
