I'm more than willing to accept the retort that the game never should come down to a bad call or missed call, so get that out of the way... it was so clear that Stein called the timeout after seeing his player commit a false start and then sold it like he called the timeout before. I'm sure it's happened before, but that's the first one I saw that was both obvious from the moment it happened and didn't get caught by the refs. Pretty fricking bad one too because a 2pt conversion gets astronomically more difficult from the 7 yard line vs the 2.

It was a badly officiated game. Not in any conspiratorial way, no one was "out to get us," just incompetent.

I disagree.

You can chalk it up to mere incompetence when literally anything goes in our favor.

Every single thing went their way.

Frankly it is hard not to wonder about conspiracies when there were that many poor calls that results in points. You have games like LSU-AU in 05 or the PP7 INT that wasnt called against Bama where 1 call can frick you but you can overcome it. But this was the whole damn game.

14 in the first half. 7 at worst because perhaps Kentucky goes and scored after calling blocking in the back on the PR.

And then I assume they kick a XP if the correctly call the false start. But that could have been good from 50 yards with the retarded call from Baker on the 2PC

The blatant multiple blocks in the back on the PR. Letting the play keep going after getting him stopped. Princewell being mugged all game. The take back of the false start.

All of this. Gave them 16 unearned points.

I have two problems with the conspiracy angle:

- We're #10 and we were a 1-loss team just like unranked Kentucky, and we have a bigger brand and a roster with a better talent profile. Take a snapshot of the two teams before the game and you'd assume LSU had a much better path to the playoffs than Kentucky. If the league was rigging the game, it should've been to help us, not hurt us.

- If it was out of pure spite, they sure chose a weird as frick time to start lol. It's not like we've been getting fricked all year. If the SEC hates us that bad, we'd have seen it before now.

SEC officiating is just bad from a quality perspective and has been for years now. It's a less satisfying answer because we'd rather believe that a product this profitable wouldn't be this ineptly managed. Unfortunately it just is. :/

This.

If it’s a poorly officiated game, there are blown calls on both sides. When every single call, no call and review goes against you, something is fishy

What crew was this.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen that white hat before. This felt like some mercenaries the SEC hired to frick LSU.

They absolutely hate lsu. And will take one less team in the playoffs if it means we don’t get in. Sankey is chomping at the bit to kick lsu out and we all know it. If he can stick it to us, he will. And we allowed him to raw dog us all night.

The business about not dismissing the suit against us should tell you everything you need to know.
