Handing the ball to the person you scored on is one of the most disrespectful things you can do on a basketball court. It's a pick up ball thing. They throw flags in college and pro football for doing the same thing.

LSU up 12 with under four minutes to go and Watford is taking the ball with 20 seconds left on the shot clock and trying to pad his stats, goes out of control to the goal and misses.

It was taunting, clear as day. You don't hand the ball to a guy laying on the ground that you just scored on.
