I think this has been established since the first game, but it eludes the team.

I have to disagree if you are saying WR and oline recruits are suspect, they are pretty much elite also. Dline is the area of recruiting weekness right now. That SHOULD get rectified in 2020 as their are 5-6 top quality that LSU is the favorite for. But they really aren't going to be of much help until about 2021 because you really cant expect freshman to be big contributers on the dline as true freshman, though it does happen at times.

we will see this weekend. But 2019 offense should have no reason not to be good and I fully expect it to be good (with or without Ensminger)

Why do people like Project this stuff. The offense will be ok. The offense will be effective if the O line can protect and we can get a running game going.

Asks the question and then follows it by making a projection.

If we can’t run the ball, then we will fool them with play action passes

This doesn't make any sense. If we're unable to run the ball, why and how would playaction be effective? You use playaction when you actually can effectively run the ball. Remember when we were unable to run the ball at all against Bama and then ran a slow developing playaction pass from inside our own five?

What will be the reasons/excuses?

How does anyone know without the game being played?

If it’s a good gameplan with low scoring output, I won’t be too concerned.

IMO, there are no legitimate reasons. None.

As for excuses - the usual . . . Burrow isn't what we hoped, no talent on the OL, etc.

9-3 is the worst case scenario.

It should be better, if for no other reason than the guys will have more experience. That said, it could be special if we could just get a decent OC. If SE returns, I think you'll see a lot of the same problems we had this year linger on.

What if the offense does exactly what it did to Georgia and scores 35 points and LSU wins? What will the Ed and E haters say then? likely the same they say now.

That's a very big IF, seeing as how A&M's rush defense has been very good up to this point. The OL has struggled against some very bad teams. What makes you think they won't have trouble against a good rush defense?

Our scheme runs backwards of what it previously had... I think the bigger key is protecting Burrow to have time to throw the short/medium routes out of the shotgun, with a RB next to him. If we can make them cover that for a pass, we then run from that formation. "Play-action" in reverse.

We do that, we should be okay. I don't think we are going to try to line up in the I and pound them like we did in the past.

Look at the Rice game, that was a practice. Obviously lesser talent, but we didn't line up in the I, we focused on Burrow getting comfortable. I expect we do the same thing against A&M.

Ensminger is TRYING to do what the Saints do, but the difference is a weaker OL and WRs who don't catch as well. You could call that a failure, or you could call that growing pains; everyone will be back (except the TE and Brossette). Same scheme could look a lot better next year, with a little improvement on execution.

Which would be exceeding most preseason predictions, but still a disappointment because we couldn't get it done with a NY6 bowl bid at stake.

Maybe it’s just me but I’m not worried about A&M ,it’s hard for me to take them serious their program is a fricking joke. For now.

I know Jefferson missed the last two practices. I hope he is ok to go because if not, I think we're in trouble. We're going to have to pass well against them since that is their weak ness. Our running game has been lackluster for a number of games now and run D is surprisingly their strength.

Have we tried this yet this season?

I'm not a "hater." I do look at talent-in and talent out (recruit rankings and NFL drafts) and performance.

When you assess this year's offense and the good games are the exceptions, then it's time consider a change.
