Honest question: Has Saban allowed any player’s parent to call into a local radio show?

I don’t know if there have been parents of players that have played for Saban at Alabama who have called into local sports talk radio shows and have been vocal about certain things involving their child playing for the Tide. Can anyone shed light on that? I would think Saban would not be okay with that, regardless of what was being discussed. I don’t think he would be okay with Stingley Sr. being on the air talking about Stingley Jr., and wonder why O is, unless some precedent has been made in other prominent programs.

Sting Sr is usually pretty protective of the program anyway. His tidbits are a little informative but it's never out of line. Their family has been around the game for years. Today you could tell that he and his family were hurt by the fans reactions to Saturday.

The internet would be filled with gifs of Saban blowing his top as he dragged the player off the field like a toddler -- no matter how big the star -- if he even seemed to giving half-arse effort at times.

I was staying at the same hotel as the Stingley family one weekend and I met the dad and uncle.

No Coach can control what you say or do as a parent of your child. Let’s be real. Right or wrong, parents will defend or protect their child. You must think Coach Saban is a saint.
