Do you just say random things for the hell of it and see what sticks? Texas St is averaging twice as many runs as ULL this year.
If you had to lose one would you rather it be to Texas State or UL?

This is absolutely the right decision, but didn't Hurd have a pretty good game against Texas last year? Just curious.

I know Hurd hasn't been good this year but when the guys on and not in his own head after a base hit and a walk , then he's still the guy form the postseason last year.
Yall are giving up on Hurd it seems

Not giving up on him at all but there is entirely too many options this year to put up with inconsistency. Hurd is going to play some big time ball this year but right now you’ve got to win the games in front of you and he’s not giving us the best chance of that.

Good, LSU needed to throw their best guy in an huge early season test against a good team in front of 25,000 people.

I like it. I’m interested to see who starts Saturday and Sunday.
My guess is Hurd Saturday to give Jump an extra day of rest.
Then on Sunday, you could potentially piggyback Jump and Coleman. Jump for the first 3-4 innings then Coleman 3-4 innings in relief.

Could start jump and coleman and bring hurd out of the pen in a big leverage spot or 2 big leverage spots

You aren't letting go of this one huh?

Not arguing, but can we really know who this team’s ace is this early in the season?
Pretty sure it's not the guy allowing a 0.355 batting average against.

Unrelated but the best part of the Rice game was Anderson getting pissed about giving up 3 runs in the 3rd that weren't his fault and coming out in the 4th and throwing straight gas. 6 up 6 down in the 4th and 5th.

With the way Coleman and Anderson are pitching up to this point, it’s not out of the realm of possibility that one of them takes Hurd’s spot in the rotation eventually, assuming they continue pitching well and Hurd continues to struggle. I don’t think that’ll happen this weekend though. Hurd’s spot in the weekend rotation is probably safe for now.

Knowing how Jay operates would not be shocked if Hurd or Jump throw in relief tonight if it means winning a close game
Coleman gives you that flexibility to start on Sunday and you can start Hurd or jump sat if not used in relief Fri
With the way Anderson has been pitching he can easily be your Sunday starter in sec play
