I agree that he will do great but it’s a bit of a different beast at LSU. At DBU he was looking for diamonds in the rough cuz they weren’t signing the MLB draft risks.
At LSU, he will have to balance finding top flight talent with finding the second tier talent that won’t get poached in the draft. I was young but I’m pretty sure one of Smoke’s downfalls was losing to many recruits to the draft and not having back up plans.
I think he will definitely excel, just a new challenge for him.
