1. Florida has the best defense in the country

2. Florida's secondary will easily handle LSU's wide receivers

3. LSU can't pass for shite

4. Treon is better throwing on the run than Will Grier

They basically think all they have to do is hold Leonard to 150 and they've got the game wrapped up. We'll see.

Tennessee ran all over the Gators. I see us getting ours on the ground and winning by 10-14.

We will test their will to tackle in the first half, then exploit their fear and hesitation in the second.

I won't blame them. The survival instinct is strong.

I guess we shouldn't even bother showing up.

Florida has yet to see a offensive line that can't physically dominate the line of scrimmage like LSU can. They will have a hard time containing our backs for 4 quarters. This line is the real deal . I'm hesitant to call them the best line I've seen at LSU, but they are close.

1. Arguable. But they are 1 of the best D in the nation
2. They won't "handle our WRs". Gonna be a good matchup.
3. Looked good last week. This week will truly tell us what we have in the passing game
4. Highly doubt it

And yea the key to stopping us is to stop LF. Slow him down, and you can beat us. However I should note that LF had 143yards rushing at UF last season. And their front 7 was better last year than it is this year. And it's extremely hard to contain LF.

And local radio doesn't perceive LSU to be the best team? Dont be so naive.

Tennessee ran on these guys quite well so I dont think well have a problem.

I think outside of hargreaves our Receivers will match up quite well. Hargreaves can only cover one guy we have Dural/dupre/diarse or Quinn (not to mention chark) in three/four wide receiver sets thats one hell of a receiver group as long as long as there is pass protection someone will get open.

A week ago this may have been able to have been said. But there was significant growth last week that we should build on.

Dak prescott was WAY better and we handled him nicely

its pretty good

they will be stout early. If our defense doesn't show up it could be a long game. We need to pound on their defense to be effective.

And they have an awesome DL and so-so LB's... going against our equally awesome OL and great RBs.

ETA: regarding handling our WRs...
If our WRs don't attack the ball, use their body, and get off the LoS somewhat clean they may just get handled. Not manhandled, but handled. Getting separation will be a challenge.

To be fair, the radio guys were very clear that Florida needed to keep us at about 13-17 points to win. They don't think they'll score much, but see the potential to dominate us on Defense.

One guy suggested they may hold us to "9 or 10 points"

Did they get some new players in their front seven since last year?

B/c Fournette went for 140 and 2 TDs in The Swamp last year.

T. Harris can't pass for shite(think AJ)
Taylor avg less than 100 yds/game
Tennessee ran for 254 yards on them.
They do have some good DL and really good CB's.
If we can run the ball out of the single back set and hit some play action, we should have our way with them because their LB's are weak. This should also open up the TE's and RB's in the passing game. Limit the penalties and play solid defense against the run I think we'll win comfortably. By no means an easy game.

Honestly, a Weed suspension in the middle of a neck and neck QB battle doesn't help.
