A sell out in TS? Southern fans bitch now bout their ticket prices & they are no where near what the cost would be in TS. As much as ULLLLL & tulane supposedly want to play LSU, they have never sold out their ticket allotment for any game in TS. Only La. Tech has done that. And do you seriously want the riff raff from The Bluffs tailgating all day long next to the riff raff from D.Springs, Port Allen, etc?

Would be bad for everyone involved except Southern's bank account. They would get completely embarrassed.

That's how it works for most of these cupcake teams though. The money is usually good enough in exchange for their dignity.

Ok....let's not play Southern. Just have their band come in at half time!

A bunch of ranters would probably want TGBFTL to stay out of the stadium in favor of this "better band".

You'd be on your phone the whole time not paying attention so what are you worrying about?

Yea, I'm certain hotels and restaurants in the Baton Rouge area would love to have two local teams matching up and avoid all that out of town revenue.

Stupid argument. LSU owes nothing to private hotels and restaurants. LSU's obligations end at the north and south gates.

Where's the benefit for LSU?

Another dumb argument. Where is the benefit in going to Syracuse or to Green Bay?

Not stupid at all.

If you don't think LSU needs to be a good steward to the local economy, then that would be a stupid argument.

LINK

LSU is paying UL-Monroe $975,000 for its visit Saturday
that guarantee comprises about 15 to 20 percent of his program’s budget.

Not dumb at all.

If you don't see the advantage of playing in different parts of the country so that more potential recruits, and fans/grads of LSU can go and watch, then that would be dumb.

With Green Bay you have a big venue playing a quality opponent.

You're not in business, are you? LSU and the business community of Greater BR are very dependent upon each other.
