I know, right?

Some people just can't stand to hear anything remotely negative about their Tigers, unless of course they're the ones spewing it.

I bet florida has TM7 singled out in there gameplan, let alone the whole secondary, but there has to be a big asterick by TM7.

Pretty sure WVU gameplanned for him as well, but he still played well.

Herbstreit used to be awful but the past few years has changed, become more objective.

I think the realization that Ohio State couldn't hang with LSU in 2007 had a lot to do with it. He was pretty confident about them for two consecutive years and clamored that the SEC speed/athleticism advantage was largely a myth. Now that the SEC has dominated five straight years, he has to call it like it is. Gotta respect a guy who can bury his bias and give props when props are due.

So did the rest of civilization. Why wouldn't they have?

Maybe Herbstreit has become more outspoken since moving from Ohio to Nashville.

I can't tell you how many times I heard him on the radio saying if LSU was as stock he'd sell it or that LSU was struggling and trending down.

You have to agree with this - KH has a job and that job is to give an informed opinion on college football teams... I don't have a problem with anyone who has something negative to say about LSU so long as the criticism is fair/based on objective problems he sees on the field

Herbie was all over USC's nuts in 2003. Probably had more to do with the split championship than any other media personality without an AP vote.

The one stat above all that stands out is his FF stat (9 I think in 18 Games) If he keeps making spotlight plays and adds to this tally he's gonna be hard to ignore!

I was responding to the poster who couldn't remember Herbstriet saying anything negative about LSU.

I simply provided evidence to the contrary. I didn't offer an opinion of whether what he said was warranted or not. Sometimes it was. Sometimes it wasn't.

That being said I do think Herstriet held a grudge against LSU for a few years because he was butthurt over the Miles to Michigan debacle.
