Tulane, UL-L... both Louisiana Schools that allow Alcohol at their games.

Alcohol is also not allowed in the general seats at Tiger Stadium, but if you sit right above those areas, in the box seats, you can drink alcohol.

"It's easier to control," said LSU Associate Vice Chancellor Herb Vincent. "It's a game management issue."

Vincent says because none of the other schools in the Southeastern Conference allow alcohol in general seating, LSU does not feel pressured to change their policy.

"It's kind of an unsaid decision that's been made among the league schools that we're not going to sell alcohol," Vincent said.

Vincent says if SEC schools start to sell it though, LSU may reconsider.

There is no SEC or NCAA policy in place banning alcohol sales at college sports.

It's left up to each individual campus to decide

There you have it folks. It's not an NCAA or SEC rule.

It's left up to the individual school. LSU is just waiting for another SEC school to start selling it.

this is really old news, but fans still cling to the idea that it's some sort of SEC rule or NCAA rule.

F that why wait. Be the first to start making millions. Help pay for that SEZ section that no one is going to sit in cause they can't drink at the game.

They would have to update the restroom capabilities before they started selling beer.

So much money they could make to offset other costs. They could also regulate it to minimize problems caused by idiots. They could put a cap on the amount sold and not sell to anybody obviously too drunk.

It really wouldn't be that hard considering the money they could make.

Alleva could alleviate any animosity toward him with this move. Hell the profits from alcohol sales could probably match the profits from turning our giant scoreboard into a billboard.

Easy to do with the money they would make off alcohol sales.

also, if they sold beer into the 3rd quarter, it would cut down on the binge drinking.

I haven't noticed anything extra crazy happening at the neutral site games that serve alcohol in general seats.

If they sold beer, I wouldn't be the only one buying beer instead of drinking liquor.

It would be a logistical nightmare with concessions. The lines are already crazy long.

You'd have to card people. Especially the sections in the NEZ

Oliver Luck, one of the smartest AD's in the country is already doing it... guess what?
