I never realized the “tail” where the state university wording is comes from the L
Seems like every other team i can recall, the tail comes off the end of the main word

So, based on the slight variations in the image, I'm thinking the collar likely uses the exact same color sequence as the sleeve: purple > white (thin) > gold > white (thin) > purple.

Yeah that looks right.
I think the sleeve stripes are vinyl and the numbers and wordmark are printed and not stitched. Hard to tell

I'll try to find something close. That font is really bad.
Over 2,300 script fonts later ... MAYBE one. But you'd have to manipulate it a bit to work.
As a graduate of the School of Design, I truly hope no one from LSU Design/Marketing did that. :lol
I think baseball has some truly great team logos, and also some of the worst.

This may be a good thread to ask if anyone has a good picture of the old school LSU baseball units that has L. S. U. On them with punctuation and all.

At a random mid-week game that season I went up to him when he was in the on deck circle. Just started talking with him then asked if I could have a ball the team used. He said yes just meet him back there next inning. He gave me a game used ball and one autographed by the team. Good guy.
