Wish Jalen a cook had never left. He’s proven to be a very competent point guard who can also score.

I was a Wade loyalist. I hate admitting it but Lester Earl was right about some questionable roster management by Wade. He was good but definitely not perfect

Aren’t you always complaining about ticket costs?

No, where are you getting that from?

I will complain all day long about neutral site games though. For the price fans pay for season tickets, it is extremely shitty to have good games be played at neutral sites.

If it’s a showcase game every few years (like Oregon in Dallas 2011) i don’t mind

Playing Rice at nrg stadium is retarded. This Florida State series could’ve so easily been home and home

If McMahon has any success this board will MELT. Very weird.

Where are you getting that? I think a lot of us are rooting like hell for him. I know I am. I was super optimistic about the hire and thought he’d do great. I still think he can get it turned around. This season was an extreme disappointment though. I don’t think we’d contend for the conference title or anything but I thought we’d win 6 games or so in the league and be more competitive than we were

The board is melting for the lack of positives around the basketball program right now, if McMahon wins it will go away.

trading a Vandy degree for an LSU degree? he may not be very smart

Having lived both in Baton Rouge and in Nashville, I can confidently suggest that trading Nashville for Baton Rouge is definitely not very smart.

Exactly.

There are probably only a handful of posters who invest the time out of their lives to watch the games. And I PROMISE you, they aren't spending that time engaged in the program hoping LSU loses. I, and everyone else complaining about McMahon's dismal performance this year want him to win. The complaints stem from the fact there was very little evidence gleaned from this season that will occur anytime soon. As a result, anything he does this offseason will be viewed with reasonable skepticism until he proves himself on the court.

Unfortunately, for him, he lost all credibility and benefit of the doubt with the fanbase this season and there is nothing he can do this offseason to earn that back. He's the first LSU basketball coach in 25 years to go into year 2 with no momentum or optimism whatsoever. That being the case, will all have to wait until November to see if he can win, and win the fanbase back.

But it would also be a bit of a reflection how bad college sports have become. He's played significant minutes at Vanderbilt for 3 seasons. He would likely do so again next year. YET (even though BR is home) he would be leaving his school, teammates and coaches to come to what right now is a WORSE program. You're seeing some guys right now bailing on NCAA Tournament teams.

Agree overall but he would be a grad transfer that would have been allowed Pre-NIL/Transfer portal

I like how you framed your opinion as the general consensus. But all good, whatever satisfies the general interest of posters here is gospel of course!

Yep, also very presumptuous to say that only a handful of posters watch games. Just because we don’t come here to bloviate doesn’t mean we don’t watch or care about the sport.

He must not be worth getting since he's not going pro, is that what you're saying?

This rumor cannot in anyway be correct. Surely this kid will go to McNeese and play for the legendary Willie Wade and not play for second rate LSU?

McNeese just doubled their fan base, and there's people on here that need CMM to fail to prove themselves right.

You think the general consensus is that most LSU fans watch LSU basketball hoping they lose?

Lester Earl was full of bologna.

There was no way in hell that Jalen was going to find minutes with Javonte and Cam Thomas!!

Be honest with yourself here. Cmon mannnnn.

He's looked good at Tulane but the level of competition is not the same!!!!
