No one gives a fck about softball. And no one is going to pay for the coaches/roster when we’ve already over leveraged the donors on the men’s sports.

Softball is not worth the investment at all. Texas went back to back, and I know that because I saw it on X yesterday, NO ONE CARES

Softball is BY FAR the best women's sport to watch. A lot of LSU fans watch it, and the packed houses through the WCWS suggest other people watch it as well.

Are you one of those morons who think that because you don't watch it, it means nobody watches it? Nobody is suggesting softball is equivalent to football, men's basketball or even baseball at LSU. But to pretend like it doesn't get support is either really ignorant or just plain stupid.

Gymnastics is at least close and better in many people's opinions

Well that's the beauty of opinions. Gymnastics is not my thing.

I love the LSU ladies, but when I saw how biased the judging was at the national championship meet, it really pissed me off. It's the reason why I never watch figure skating except at the Olympics.

This
But I look at it as a Title IX conundrum. You have to balance it out by law so you can’t really cut these sports. What you can do is not fund them to be competitive.
Beth’s time has run its course no different than that asshat Dennis Shaver with Track. Time to hire new blood and let them prove their salt to deserve funding.

There was two players worth starting in that class. One is staying and one is leaving. Walker left and had a relatively good season on a team LSU beat 35-2.

The comments in the post make it seem like there is more going on. Agree most players in the portal have not had playing time but is it because they can’t buy in for some reason? Just odd to have a revolving door even before the portal was as big as it is now.

They recruited kids that had no business being at LSU, that sets up the kid for failure and creates a mess within the team. Players want to play and when they don’t most become unhappy and leave. Baseball and football have been doing this for a few years now, softball catching up

how is that even comparable? LOL. comparable to figure skating?

however, to each his own. i wont shite on it like ignorant morons here shite on softball if that is what you like.

i much prefer a team sport throwing, pitching, running and hitting a ball than gymnastics. or watching them run and rebound and put a ball through a hoop than watch gymnastics.

best 2 womens sports are softball and BB.

If you use social media post/comments as a way to draw any type of conclusion about anything at all in the world, then you are well beyond any hope.

How many Tiger rant followers can name 9 softball players?

ugh most of us REAL FANS/coaches/parents? how dumb are you? i know many past players personally. my daughters alone got lessons from emily turner, britney mack and aliyah andrews. Do you even know who they are? but we cannot name 9?

u really cannot name 9 players from the last 20 years?

most all softball regulars here can name 9 players from the last 20 years.

KK Madrey and Morgan Smith are the only players to leave and turn into players that would've started here. Madrey left after her freshman year when she had like 5 outfielders in front of her at the time. Smith wanted to pitch and hit. She turned into an all-conference level hitter but she wouldn't have pitched much. The vast majority of players that left left for playing time and proved at their next stop they weren't going to get the pt here.

Do we think this year’s class puts an end to this? Looks great on paper statistically but doesn’t always transfer to college ball.

Not drawing conclusions from the post/comments just adding it as a piece of the puzzle. If players can’t buy into what the team leadership is selling teams will always play flat.

The energy this year from the team was pretty flat from our “captains” so makes you wonder if it is a lack of complete buy in to the program.
