No we just suck.
Look at Clapp. Clapp didn't lose talent, but he definitely isn't playing well.
We have talent. We have size and speed. We have experience at a lot of positions.
We just have no idea what we are doing or any drive to figure it out.

Ed o was the dline coach and recruiting coordinator. Was hired in 2015.

No we were loaded minus Oline and WR just last season. This season we're in a minor rebuild and losing key guys to injury and suspension has made things worse. The biggest problem so far has been Os meddling in Canada's offense, we have enough talent at QB RB and on the perimeter to be executing what he ran at Pitt and scoring tons of points. We could've easily beat Troy and possible State if Canada was being allowed to run his offense but O has forced him to run and under the center run oriented attack that's looked like crap. He lied and said he'd let his OC run his offense and if he doesn't do that we will continue to be whipped. Our defense isn't as strong as last years but if our offense was putting drives together and scoring points while keeping our D off the field more this team would look much different. We are young and lack veteran impact players but what happening is inexcusable.

Several years ago it was noted by other coaches that there was a decline in talent.
So several years ago Les took a team declining in talent to the national title game?

The whole "the talent dropped off" narrative was created by O pumpers to try and convince people to give O more time.
The problem is that there is NEVER a reason to get destroyed by a not very good MSU team or to get beat by Troy. And that Troy game wasn't even as close as it seemed. Thank goodness O let Canada go back to his true offense in the second half so we could score some points.

You're wasting your time with Robbytiger. That guy thinks our boosters are making O start freshmen.

Lol I've been skeptical about Canada changing his offense and O being behind it. I've been posting about it since week 1 and now that it's been confirmed I just wanna puke. The guy we just fired was fired for doing exactly what O is doing now. The arrogance of an a-hole who watched this cause his predecessors firing and still tries to do it is mind blowing. First off it doesn't work secondly he lied and said he wouldn't do it then he lied again and said he learned his lesson from doing it at Ole Miss and last he's not an OC or any other kind of offensive coach. This is strike 3 for me, he allowed fan pressure to influence his decisions with the QBs then crumbled under ran pressure again when he scaled back the offense vs Troy and now this. I'm not going to stop pulling for these kids and if by some miracle he wakes up and let's Canada do his thing maybe we can turn the seaon around but even if that happens I don't think I could ever trust the guy again.

Now we're getting made up handles from other teams with this shite?

The reason I argued wasnt to defend O it was because I'd rather break things down methodically and eliminate possible problems one at a time over some distance than the quick reaction you guys had. I suspected the offensive style was his doing but it didn't explain the troubles on defense. There were too many unknowns in my opinion to jump to conclusions so early and the state game was filled with a lot of calls that directly affected the score. Now this huge piece of information drops and for me it took something like that happening to confirm he was the root of the problems.

Ok...fine.
How'd we end up in 2008, despite being a train wreck to watch? Any expectations of that in 2017?

O brought out a lot of football ignorant fans. Fans that have never really had any interest in football until he was hired.
