If that’s the case I’d pull his scholarship and he can pay his own way to get his grades up.

But this is Ole Sis we're talking about. Jerrell Powe flunked PE and everything else above in HS and OM academically qualified him. I think he had a negative GPA. shite, he signed his LOI with half of an "X"... Academics are seriously NOT a priority at OM.

Still have to get in good academic standing at LSU before you are allowed to transfer out.

Even if it is to Ole Miss.

definitely not what he’s doing. CBK would pull his scholarship easily. He’s not clueless

Portal question - once you enter, do you give up your schools? If not, I could see that as being a useful counter to some of the NIL stuff

His portal recruitment sure is quiet. No visits or offers on 247.

If he does that, he has to sit out next season. The deadline to be eligible for next year is 5/1.

They just have to be in the portal by that date. They don’t actually have to transfer by then.

I was just doing some reading on this, and as far as I can tell a school can pull a scholarship for the following academic term if a kid enters the portal. Meaning if he enters the portal prior to start of the spring semester, they can pull the scholarship for the spring. At least that’s my understanding.

If he is planning to leave why should LSU help him academically?

Some Ole Miss folks saying he is just improving his grades now and will then transfer to Ole Miss

Seriously, someone posts an anonymous rumor and half the board is calling the guy a piece of shite. It's just as likely (even more likely) that the Ole Miss folks are just talking out of their asses. Let it play out. Would love to have him stay and I trust the current staff to make the right calls. If he does do this, THEN call him Tiger Bait or piece of shite or whatever.

That said, I do believe that Coach Kelly should pull his scholarship if he is still in the portal at the start of term if that is something that he can do. No need to call him names, but I agree with whoever it was who said "shite or get off the pot".

It may not be listed and may have been unofficial, but he was at Ole Miss one weekend before ESD. He was in a pic or two with Kiffin in front of the same car other recruits were posting pics of.

But as far as anyone knows, that’s it, and he didn’t sign with them on or around ESD like many OM insiders and fans expected.

It is in our best interest for APR purposes to continue to support him academically.

Deion is a good talent and MAY end up in the league. But he also might end up getting lost on our depth chart. I'd like to see him stay and compete, but it's not like losing a good QB or LB at this point.

Wait - where is he now? Didn’t he end up at UGA? Did he play the other night?

Last I heard, he was building a home in the transfer portal. It is his safe place...
